I am alomst, no I am totally embarrassed to admit this.  I have been permanently banned from WoW.  WTF.  I was able find out why, and that is what is embarrassing.  I was attempting to have gold from a character on a PvE server transferred to a character on a PvP server.  I found a company that does this.  I signed up, got approved and was given the name of a character to give my gold to.  Honestly I thought I was going to be scammed.  I really did not expect to get the gold on the other server in return.  Actually, I have no idea if I did, because I was banned prior to being able to log on to check.  When I went to check my email several hours after the transaction is when I got the email from Blizzard.  Banned permanently.  Why no warning?  Just the death penalty on the first offense.  I am really suprised by this.  Not only that, but I did not realize this was a bannable action.  And really, i don't even know if this is what it was, because Blizzard has not as of yet given me a detailed explanation of the act that got me banned.  I am assuming this is what did it, as the email stated that it was a violation of policy to trade characters, items, or currecncy from one server to another.  I just can not believe that a permanent ban was the only recourse available to "teach me a lesson" or to resolve the issue.  Anyway, I guess I cheated, so I guess I deserve the ban.  It just sucks.

That's definitely bull, it shouldn't matter that you made to money on another server, you still put the time into getting the gold.

Sorry to hear it man. I'm curious how they found out too, but I know they have to be completely anal about this policy, with tall the companies selling gold and such. Just sad it happened to someone who was trying to get cash from his own toon on a different server.

Yeah, Blizzard has a zero tolerance policy. Just start a new account using a different credit card.
