She left on Friday. Rented a Cadillac and drove her and the dog out to Phoenix. She told me she loves me. She reiterates it every time I talk to her. I wish she would prove it.

She made landfall in Texas tonight.

The boy cried and dried up. He's been okay, but he talks about us being alone and how I need a girlfriend. I told him I'm still married and I love her. He replied "She's not here. You just have to find one who won't leave." Fuck. Every woman in this child's life has left him swinging. I hope he learns to trust again. He told me the other day that he's glad I'm here. He knows Daddy puts him first.

My job is good, if a bit stressful. I'm pretty chill about the drive, but today was a bitch. It is International Worker's Day, which is more popularly known as May Day. Or Commie Fourth of July. It's bullshit, but I could give two shits about whoever's politics. What I DO give a shit about is how the immigrant rights assholes decide to have fifteen fucking rallies in the middle of LA.
