There are entirely too many choices - I've already had to deny myself certain titles (Forza Motorsport 4, Battlefield 3). I'm improving at actually finishing games (and dipping into the backlog) - I've managed to complete the story modes of Batman: Arkham City and Gears Of War 3 (also did the entire GOW2 campaign the week before). I'm pretty much done with B:AC, because I don't care about the miscellaneous shit like Riddler Trophies. I'm focusing on Gears 3 - especially with Double XP, the new maps (Azura fucking rocks), and leveling up fortifications. But even Gears will eventually take back seat (albeit, temporarily) to the games I'm committed to. To the best of my knowledge, here is what I'm committed to for the rest of 2011:
11/8 - Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
11/11 - Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
11/15 - Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary
12/20 - Star Wars: The Old Republic (PC)
Before anybody shits themselves, let me clarify that you're not fucking crazy: I'm voluntarily picking up MW3. Those who know me, know this: I'm not a fan of military shooter games along the vein of COD. Very few games make me rage quit - and next to Dark Souls, anything COD tops my list. Why actually get this game? I'm looking forward to the return of Spec Ops, which made MW2 so much more bearable. I'm also looking forward to the Kill Confirmed multiplayer match (maybe I'll actually get sniped less, since lazy-ass snipers would need the dog tag for their team to count the points).
Anyway... tomorrow is my nephew Jordan's birthday. I can't believe my little buddy is going to be 5 already! When I think back over the past five years, some of my favorite moments were "Uncle" moments. I'm truly thankful to be as close & involved as I am with my nephews - my world would suck without them.
