One of my little "eccentricities" is naming my devices (like some guys name cars or boats). My Xbox 360 is Sheila (after the Tank AI in Red vs. Blue), my PS3 is Wendy (for no particular reason), and Christine is my recently-departed PC. In keeping tradition, I've already chosen the name of my PC-to-be - Duncan. Project Duncan is the (continuing) process of building my PC. Keep in mind this is my first actual build, and it's partly an educational process (I need to brush up on my PC hardware knowledge to help prepare for the A+ Certification). Anyway, I'm still gathering the last couple parts, but so far Duncan will contain the following:
Motherboard: ASUS Sabertooth 990FX R2.0
CPU: AMD FX 8350 8-Core Processor, Black Edition
RAM: G.SKILL Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 (1866) SDRAM
HD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal
GFX Card: ASUS GeForce GTX 660 DirectCUII
Power Supply: Corsair CX Series 600 Watt
I'm not going BluRay on the optical drive, and I'm going to run Windows 7 (which I won't have to pay for - bonus). As far as the case, I'm thinking Duncan will look like this:
Anyway, that's it for now.

Wife and son went halfsies and bought me a new box for Christmas, pity buy I suspect, BUT it's similar to what you've got but I think it's only a 4 core processor and it's 12 gig ram.
Also have the 2 TB drive, WTH do you do with a 2TB drive? (whatever you want!
)
Now mind you my last box was XP and single core 32 bit with 2 gigs ram, so I'm pretty damn happy. BUT I am having to cope with WIn 8.1...still have 7 at work, a far superior OP I think.
My case has a single red line across the front, think 80's Cylon, and you've got it! Black as well, but not quite as fancy as that.

actually, a 2TB HDD can fill up quickly with a robust steam library. I recently had to add another 2TB to my rig for steam overflow. I offloaded all my media to a NAS so any device in the house could access it without needing to go through my rig.

I don't think I'm as active perhaps as you are. Hehe.
I can see my music library expanding a bit though. I was going to use my old box for a glorified MP3 player, but the wife wants it for work I think.

In addition to my 2TB internal, I'm currently using a 1TB external to house my media. I also have a 1TB in the one that shit the bed, and in the two Dell Optiplex's donated to me (sizes unknown)... but I'd like to encase those & use them for added 360 storage... (or divide my media; audio on one, video on another). Depends on how much I'm working with. Something tells me the 2TB internal will play host to Steam.
