In this one man's effort to banish the spam, I figured I'd conjure up a little something to post. Anything would be better than spammers pushing shitty product knockoffs, right? So, I started attacking my game backlog lately. I finally finished BioShock... fucking amazing! I don't scare easy (due to being desensitized by years of overexposure to the horror genre), but I was actually on the edge of my chair on more than one occasion. I'd harvested all Little Sisters, so I was rewarded with the "bad" ending. There will definitely be a second playthrough to save the Little Sisters, but not until after I finish BioShock 2. I also jumped back into the saddle with some Red Dead Redemption, taking advantage of the recent Triple XP Weekend. I began the weekend at Level 36 or 37, prestiged at 50, and climbed back up to 42. We would've prestiged again, if my old tired ass wasn't falling asleep in front of the TV. I'm also blasting my way through more Borderlands. The game itself is fucking epic - it's something you can't take too seriously, that you just sit back & let yourself be entertained by it. But even though I'm enjoying the shit out of all these games, just relaxing & gaming with friends is just as entertaining & rewarding.
I'm focusing a bit strongly on gaming lately because the rest of my life has been "in flux", we'll say. I just got shot down for a promotion at work (which is fucking bullshit because I was a finalist for it when it was last open - now, not even an interview). I've also been greatly concerned with my family lately - especially my baby nephew Jason, who was just in the hospital & diagnosed with severe acid reflux. I don't understand much about reflux in infants, especially since my reasoning says that unless he's really lactose intolerant or somehow agitated by the mother's milk, there's no logical fucking way acid reflux should develop. I'd love any input or insight you parents may have. But on a somewhat positive note, my roommate & I are looking to move. My landlord's a dick, and doesn't want to do what's necessary to keep the house running smoothly... so fuck you, we walk! Between everything else, I'm trying to study for my A+ Certification and take over the world... but I may only be able to pull one off, and I'm betting it's the latter. I need a vacation... which, by happy coincidence, I just scheduled. It will be a stay-at-home, the week Gears 3 releases... guess I should preorder my copy, eh?
