Of all the upcoming game titles I'm anticipating, I'm most excited for Skyrim. Everything I'm reading & watching about this game just excites me more - and I'm already walking around with a perpetual nerd boner. Anyway, the latest tidbit is Bethesda's announcement that the first two chunks of DLC will be available to Xbox 360 gamers 30 days before anywhere else.

On November 11th, Bethesda Game Studios brings us the next installment in The Elder Scrolls franchise with The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Xbox LIVE will be the first to bring players the experience of Skyrim's add-on content in this revolutionized open-world fantasy epic where players can explore any way they choose.

The first two add-on content drops for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will be releasing exclusively on Xbox 360, 30 days before it's available anywhere else. If you'd like to be the first to break new ground in Skyrim, Xbox LIVE is the only destination that won't keep you waiting.

Chances are, I won't be getting Modern Warfare 3 - at least, right away. It releases the same week as Skyrim, and I'll have to renew my Live subscription that same week. Really, unless I see enough content & gameplay unique to MW3 that the previous games can't provide, then I'll probably say "fuck it" & not get it at all. (This, of course, is if Ducky & Loco don't find a way to talk me into it... but even then, it will be a few weeks after release).

Another game I'm eagerly anticipating is Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. I'm a huge Ghost Recon fan, having enjoyed every title on the original Xbox, as well as GRAW 1 & 2 for the 360. I just received an email that I was selected to participate in the Beta! Granted, it doesn't launch til January... but that means I've got ample time for other games (Dead Island, Gears of War 3, Forza 4, Battlefield 3, Arkham City, and of course, Skyrim). But come January, expect that the bulk of my gaming will be split between Skyrim and Future Soldier.

All of this reaffirms one single thought:  my backlog won't be decreasing any time soon.
