Left4Dead2 Realistic mode

I regularly play L4D2 with a co-worker or 2 along with my brother-in-law. Most times 2 of us, sometimes 3, rarely 4.  Since L4D2 is so much harder than the original, we play on Normal.  We've gotten to the point where we can get thru an entire campaign without getting killed so we wanted to ramp up the challenge.  Instead of going to Advanced, we decided to try Realistic mode.  The big differences between Realistic and regular is that the zombies take more shots to kill (unless you headshot them) and a player will not show up later in the level if killed.  L4D2 has introduced a defibrillator that you can use on the corpse of your teammate that will bring them back to life.  When playing Normal, the defibs are found everywhere, but who wants to carry that as it replaces your health pack.  Especially if all you have to do is wait a couple of minutes for your buddy to show up in a closet somewhere.

We've only gone thru Realistic twice but dammed if we could find even a single defib.  Not only that, but other things such as pipe bombs and molotovs are in short supply.  WTF, throw us a fucking bone here, they made this so freakin' difficult that I can't imagine even attempting this on Advanced much less Expert.

If you have the achievement where you complete a campaign on Expert-Realistic then I bow to you as an FPS god among men.....

THat's exactly why i passed on L4D2, they just went extreme with the difficulty settings. L4D2 expert mode was hard enough and now they've ramped it up even more with more special infected , ammo restrictions, mandatory headshots and no respawns in realistic? Forget it.... pass!

When we get some time, I'll be your FPS god. I got it finally, somewhat familiar with 2 episodes. Almost good to go.
