My collection

LuxDevil's impressive guitar collection has inspired me to blog about my (minor in comparison) watch collection.  

I love watches.  If I had the money, I'd have one for every day of the month, if not year and I've been building my collection since my wedding day.  I gave my bride a pearl necklace (hush you perverts!) and she gave me this gorgeous Seiko grey rectangular slimline dress watch.  On our honeymoon I picked up a Tag Heuer dive watch and started my desire to build a collection of expensive quality watches.  Throughout the 90s I got a watch here and there, a couple slipped thru my fingers (which I've regretted ever since) and then hard times hit.  For the last, oh, 8 or so years, for the most part,  my watch collection has been put on hold and only recently I realized that in order to expand my collection I really don't need to obsess about expensive watches and I can add the watches that I like the look of to my collection without being a fucking snob.  

Clobbersaurus is a fellow watch collector and he's the one I blame for putting the bug in my ear.  In Site chat he'd post links to watches on one of his favorite sites and I'd end up browsing around.  This one particular site is freakin' EVIL!  You'd be looking at a watch that has a very attractive price and it would pop up a window that says "No Brainer Sale!  This item now $50 less!".  A Diver/Chronograph with a yellow face (a type of watch that had once slipped thru my fingers)  has been high on my list of wants.  This past Monday, while browsing the evil watch site, I saw one that matched my desire as well as my price.  And then it throws a "No Brainer sale" at me.  I finally gave into temptation and picked this up:

For about $100, I couldn't resist .
