A correction on my previous blog, when setting up DD-WRT, you don't want to set it to be a client, you want it to be a "client bridge". The difference is when it is set to a client, your Xbox will be on a different subnet. I was able to play games on XBL just fine when it was set to a client but I was unable to stream music or pictures from the PC until I switched DD-WRT to a wireless bridge. The instructions for a wireless bridge are here

I STILL cannot stream videos from the PC to the 360, it appears that Orb requires a faster CPU than my laptop.  And I still haven't  been able to borrow a PS3 to test.....

I wanted a seamless solution that my wife could pick up and do easily. Running cables, and having her use the computer is a bit over her head. In your case, going straight from the PC to the TV is probably the way to go.

Ok quick question. Is there an advantage for streaming the video from a PC to xbox over plugging a PC into the TV? I just got a long DVI to HDMI cable and a 2 head RCA audio cable and was going to plug it into the receiver that way. Obviously no cables is an advantage of it's own. But anything else? -M
