Okay. I get it, people. Enough already.

You know, I used to have a blog outside of 2old2play, many years ago. I wrote a lot of stuff there, mostly junk. But eventually, I just deleted it all. Didn't want to worry about people trashing me in the comments.

As a member of 2old2play, I got kind of excited to start a blog again. I mean, the people in my clan, 2old2playHalo, are all super nice. I thought this would be a good place.

Yesterday, I had some downtime. Not much to do, except to write. Most of it was shit, but hey - what else do you expect from a blog? When I got back to my hotel, I posted it all.

Lo and behold, I had apparently broken a cardinal rule here. "Thou shalt not post a lot." How was I supposed to know that would piss everybody off? Let alone make them irritated enough to tell me about it.

Look, I never even wanted to be on the blog bar, alright? I just wanted to write some stuff. I didn't expect a bunch of good comments. But I didn't expect bad ones either. I certainly expected some courtesy. And a few people were courteous, explaining the issue politely. But not many. (To those that were polite - thanks. I hear you, and understand.)

But I sucked it up. After all, who wants to be annoying? I understood what you guys were complaining about. I apologized, and I meant that. Still do. But that wasn't good enough for everyone. I forgot that the anonymity of the internet turns a lot of people into jerks. Even at 2old2play.

So here it is. For future reference, I'm done apologizing. If you have a problem with me, please send me a private message. If you want to bitch about me in the comments, I'm not going to respond to that.

I don't post much. Never have. Never planned to start posting a lot either. Just had a full day of writing. Probably wouldn't have happened again for months, if ever. I enjoyed the writing part. But I didn't enjoy the comments. I know now not to "spam" the blog bar. But I've also learned that 2old2play is not as friendly as it seems. I don't know when I'll post again, but one thing's for sure: I don't plan on quitting.

And with that, I am DONE with this topic.

P.S. A big thanks to all my friends at 2old2playHalo. You guys are nice. I appreciate you, and look forward to getting teabagged again soon!

I still don't think it is cool to take over the blog bar. I rarely blog so my opinion on the matter has nothing to do with a blog of my own or attention focused on myself. My last few blogs actually have been to the purpose of pushing actual spammers off our site's blog bar. The very last one was directed at Vix and once he and I commented back and forth, it was actually pretty funny because he didn't even realize he had taken over the blog bar and asked me to post again to help him get all his icons off of it. I hope I didn't come across as being a jerk to him, if I did that wasn't my intention. But I do not like when one person takes over the banner because it makes me and other people miss other people's blogs. Some people think it's fine and cool, I don't and even in doing so that wasn't vix's attention. So if he is getting hatemail that is dumb. The whole thing would be better off if it was coded in a way where it would only put someone's icon up once at a time. Kind of a: if user's previous blog, is in 5 most recent blogs, post icon on blog banner is false.

good to see the higher ups and OG"s here giving people a hard time for a rule im not even sure is written anywhere Good for you. Keep blogging. Im sure a lot of people on this site never really any attention in their lives so the blog bar is a good way to feel important. Heres an idea. if you like someones blog and if you are afraid you might miss it, bookmark them. Timmy doesn't change, he just gets older.

and i also think the site has issues sometimes, meaning the site wants people to be active and post and blog, and we encourage that but only to a limit? so should we tell smooth he cant post a podcast because their has to be other news up before it looks like he is the only one that does stuff? i mean its kinda messed up.

Bookmarking works, but so does taking two clicks to get to the latest blogs menu. Oh man, that is sooo tough. We all have our embarrassing moments....like when I thought the level cap in reach had been raised, posted about it, then found out from Dank that it was only because I wasn't signed in to live. We all have out moments. :)

Well...I just figured you blogged a lot because you had a lot to say...and I kinda enjoyed reading pretty much all of them. Made me walk a bit of memory lane on some gaming. I mean...so you post one day many times, or break it down over several days I don't really see the difference. Say what you got to say. I had no idea about the blog bar either when I first joined. I wanted just to test out my blog and entered something like "Maybe I'll post here sometime" and was pretty surprised/ embarrassed to come back later and see a bunch of comments on it. Most weren't too bad though. Looking back at it, that post was higher quality than a lot I've seen since then. ;-) I was kind of like you as far as worrying about the comments. That's one reason I quit blogging after only a few posts. A year and a half and hundreds of forum posts later, I don't care so much anymore so maybe I'll Spam the blog bar myself one of these days.

Meh, I said it in the comments for the blog you deleted already but... Post what you want as far as this one member is concerned. As long as its not just a bunch of stupid little messages with no content, who fucking cares. People that are aggravated that their pic got pushed off the bar are usually the site attention whores anyway, and they usually make sure everyone gets a chance to read their blog by posting a link to it in a forum somewhere. I have been here a long time and I am amazed that this shit keeps popping up every few months. If anyone gets mad enough to get all butthurt about your picture showing up on the blog bar a couple of times they need to put down the nerd rage and get a little sunlight. I guess I don't understand the sentiment. "Waah, someone is now not going to click on my blog and read all of the text where I tell you how bad my life sucks...waah". Blogs here turned into a whinier version of Facebook anyway most of the time. It's like an etiquette rule people here follow but aren't sure why they are following it. Besides, those people who check the blogs regularly (as I do) don't navigate via the bar anyway. Bring back thumbs up/down, eliminate the blog bar imo. :D

I'll apologize too for the manner in which some people chose to inform you about a common practice here (and yea Dank, I don't think it's written down anywhere either). The idea of that blog bar is to provide exposure for folks to get off their chest/ flex their epeen/ share a story/ whatever. Some people are in a spot and seeking very real feedback, and you hate to see them get lost from view. The idea of not stacking the bar allows everyone to be heard in very equal access kinda way. Like you said, thanks to the folks that were civil about it. Looking forward to more of your blogs, so keep em coming.

i disagree with you taxi 100%, a person should blog as often as they want, if it isnt written down and the guy has a ton of unrelated topics he wants to blog about then im all for it. the specific reasons i disagree with you are this 1) this is why we have bookmarks 2) this is also why we have the most recent 25 blows made 3) and on your right side you will also notice the your friends blog, were you only see your bookmarked friends latest blogs. the people who bitch about there blog getting pushed off the top need to grow up, people will still read your blog by the means i mentioned above. will the blog get more views if its up top, without a doubt 100%, so that begs the question, who's end to a mean are we supporting? they are equal as far as im concerned if you want your blog read more, then simply put, blogs up more. if you blog about interesting stuff, people will find you regardless if your up top or not. if you have a rl issue and want people to weigh in on it on the internet and your concerned about how many views you get , how does that make them sound? needy. i dont support that needy shit. also if a blogger is to annoying, guess what i dont have to click their blog. people complain just to complain and its annoying. i say blog 100 times a day, i blog however much i feel like blogging and that could be 8 times in a day. so i support you vix, do your thing man
