Shared on Wed, 02/01/2006 - 13:11This is great! Now I can share my wealth of knowledge about being an umemployed stay at home dad. And now that I have done that I hope you all were enlightened well beyond your years.
I actually have nothing to impart to you that "Dora the Explorer" or "Blues Clues" cannot. Spending almost two years with your almost three daughter is awesome and very challenging at the same time. I have to say that 2old2play and the Old Man Mafia keep my sanity in check.
I was an All-State middle Linebacker in Tennessee in high school so I have a deep competetive nature that is an itch that does not get scratched like it used to. Halo 2 had been filling that need for some time, however it got to be a pain with delevelers and cheaters in MM that we are all familiar with. Therefore it was really refreshing to meet everyone here at 2o2p where I can be myself and get that competitive itch scratched (I know Deadstock, sometimes I am not that competitive). It is nice to turn it on or off depending on my mood (off is when I suck) and just enjoy playing with friends from all over the world.
Also, if you guys out there have a wife that stays home with the kids instead of going to work everyday, as soon as you get home, tell her you love her and appreciate all the work she does. If my wife has that opportunity again, I will not be able to treat her the same way I did before. Going back to work will be like retiring for me. But that's a story for some other time.
