If you can get somewhat proficient at Gears MP, and carry some of the skill set over to games like H2, it will defineately improve your game. Gears is much more tactical, and requires a great deal of teamwork and communication to win.
The graphics are amazing, and the camera angles , especially in combat, and when running is so lifelike. I got my wife to sit and watch for a bit and she was stunned at how beautiful the game is. (This from a woman who plays mainly PC puzzle games like POGO, and hasn't played a console since NES. I think with a bit of arm twisting I can get her a Live account, and have her on-line with my 2old2pwn clanmates very soon.)
Without a doubt the most impressive part for me is the Co-op feature. I was able to hook up with MrSleestak, and we played thru most of Act 3, and I believe some of Act 4. It was really cool to play thru these missions together, but at same time have a unique experience. There was no lag at all, or any kind of connection issues, and we were able to help each other move farther along in the game. Based on the way the game is designed, and the way it plays, I think, this is the way Cliffy B meant it to be played.
The only hang up I have is trying to get into a ranked match on-line. It was very frustrating, cuz there are so many games available, and I kept having connection issues when trying to join. It took about 30 minutes to actually find a game I could get into without issues.
Looking forward to playing somemore, hope to see you on-line. If anyone is interested send me a friend request, or game invite, and we can we can kick Locust ass together
