Ok, so my wife and I went to Applebee's On Tuesday night for some dinner and 2-for-1 cocktails. I decide to order a burger as I have not had one in ages (it's a cholesterol thing). My burger arrives and looks great. After I finish applying ketchup to my burger and fries, I go to reach for the mustard. Not finding a bottle at my table, I look around at the empty tables to see if I could snag one. Not one table had a bottle of mustard. I had to flag a waitress and have her go get me a bottle. What happened to the mustard? Now that I think about it, I can't remember the last time I've seen mustard set out on a table...

My life is fucking exciting isn't it?!

My guess is that Mustard doesn't get used nearly as often as ketchup. So it spoils since its not being refilled/replaced often. So they dont keep it out but on request only. Just a guess. It might be a national trend away from mustard because now that you mention it I dont remember seeing it recently any where I have been out to eat. - BAT
