Man, I gotta say, Metallica seems to be making a decent comeback. Their setlists are now about 80% old shit and only 20% from black album and up.

Also, it seems that there is a new Punisher movie due out by xmas this year. As much as I liked Tom Jane as the Punisher, this dude seems to fit the bill a lot better. Plus, the movie looks to be set in NYC as opposed to Tampa.

The giant "PinkPop" signs just kill the whole thing. (LOL) In my head, I'm the biggest Metallica fan that ever lived. Especially James Hetfield. (Go figure) but I have to say, His vocals have suffered greatly due to his poor delivery. He seems to be kinda barking all the lines out in the same style for the last couple years. I mean he never had any range to speak of but it didn't cuz he meant that shit! But now it just seems like 'Getting thru it'. And he's clearly WAY to clean and happy. To much smiling while playing legendary thrash metal...l0l

The song sounded tighter than I've ever heard it live. But it was also a little slower. Which is fine. But James' voice is a little deep nowadays to sing it like he used to. He did how many years of touring before he actually "learned" how to sing? 15? September can't come soon enough. m/ m/

I can't agree more Bayman. Judging from the snippet a couple of blogs ago, they do seem to be going for a little more of a Justice sound, which is the first Metallica album I cut my teeth on. At that point, I was a fan for life. Hetfield, I know what you mean as far as his voice goes, but also realize that James is almost 45 and the years of touring, the drinking has taken a bit of a toll on his vocals. Still, they make me want to go punch something every time I hear their music. I am not, by no means, a Guitar Hero nut. As a matter of fact, I hated it. But, since they are releasing a Guitar Hero: Metallica game, I am most likely going to get it. I hope the guitar that is included with it is in the same style as his old school black guitar from the early 90's (Pardon my noobness as far as guitars go, as I do know the model name) or even the white one shown in the video above. Stoked, man, stoked.
