Casual Observations

It has definitely been a loooooong time since my last blog, so I thought an update is in order. Completed the portfolio section of my National Board attempt. I wish I could say that I feel good about the portfolios, but I don't. I take my modules test on May 13th, then wait until the fall to hear the verdict.

My son turns 11 next month and is in the middle of baseball season. He hit a slump early in the year, a God-awful slump that took the fun out of baseball. Thankfully the slump ended quickly and he is currently rippng up the diamond. It is so painful to watch your children struggle and become discouraged.

My baby girl is full of energy and mischief. Nothing new there. We go back to the Doc in June to have your bi-annual kidney tests. I know that surgery is looming , but I am praying for some Divine intervention.

My wife is still the most beautiful women in the world and has the patience of Job. No idea how I would make it without her.

Spring training is starting next week. I am thinking we will be much better this season. Defensively we gave up 194 points in 10 games last season. Doesn't sound great , but the preious year they gave up 465 and the year before that 501. Not a bad improvement. I think we can stay below 10 points a game this season. If we manage that , we will be a very good football team.
