WOOHOO!

Suddenly, about two weeks ago, i started feeling better. Less pain, less fatigue, breathing easier, able to do more 'stuff', and best of all...i've had an appetite! i've managed to lower one of the 'temporary helper' meds (Prednisone) down to 3mg a day. And i'm STILL feeling better and eating! Best news of all: my weight is up to 101 lbs!!!! I've been below 100lbs since 1995. The closest i came was 98lbs, and then i'd catch a cold or some bug going around, and drop three pounds overnight. My 'normal' weight before i got sick was 102-106 lbs. So basicly, i am one freakin' pound away from my fightin' weight!!!!

i have been holding back on telling anyone, even family. i know it's silly, but i've been superstitious about it. i was afraid either it was a fluke or if i said it out loud (or typed it ;) ) i would somehow jinx myself and i'd be in a downward spiral again. But last night, one of my awesome clannies (yeah, i'm lookin' at you, PBR!) asked me how i'm feeling and if i've had an appetite lately. i decided it's time to tell people. So here i am telling people!!

And after a week of playing HORRIBLY, i played Halo about like i normally do last night. Last week i played so bad i was about to switch games for a while! But i'm back to my mediocre but acceptable playing abilities this week!

Now i have no idea if this is the chemo finally working, or if my OLD chemo that i take a small dose of once a week has started working again or if it's magic and shit. i have to wait and see. If it was the 'serious' chemo, i'll know in about six months, if i start feeling like crap again. Otherwise, it's a guessing game for my doctor and i to play. But  hey, i don't really care right now what the reason behind it is, i'm just super glad to feel better!

Oh and i got the best birthday present EVER this year!! My birthday is Thursday but last week, himself gave me a present early: a big birdbath. He set it up for me in my little garden out front. i can see it from two windows, including the kitchen window. It's got birds lining up to use it all the time. You would not believe how ridiculously happy it makes me to watch birds drink, bathe and play in that thing! My garden is kicking ass too. i thought my gardenia was a goner, but it' coming back and has bloomed and all!
