NaNiWa let go by Dignitas? WTF?

Ok NaNiWa hasn't been tearing it up lately but he is still one of the best foreign Protoss players around? and he's showed commitment - he's been training in Korea. I don't get this move and it will be very interesting to see where NaNiWa ends up.

Patch 1.04 Live.

I think for the race I play (Protoss) that the Immortal attack range increase and the Warp Prism shields increase are going to be significant in changing how some people play as protoss.  I really like Immortals (they eat Thors for breakfast lol) and I've always been wanting to play with some drop type play but haven't really that much given how squishy the Warp Prisms were.

Jay Rosehill and Francis Lessard will throw down again tonight - they can't get enough of each other.

Good luck Rosie! Rosie is about the only guy with any ooomph being dressed for the Leafs tonight. The Sens are dressing Christina Neil, Francis Lessard, Zakk Smith and Zenon Konopka.

Neither team is playing their starting goaltender or 1st line (although it could be argued the MacArthur/Grabovski/Kulemin line for TO is THEIR first line based on performance last year).

 Just picked up SC2 and never really played an RTS before....where to start?

I know a couple of people have recently picked up SC2 or are picking it up shortly (people are finding it for $35 - $40 which is a great deal!).

I'm still very much a noob at this game and have no real RTS experience before but here is how I would approach learning the game :)

 Some Interesting Things in this Patch PTR (still being tested)

It looks good for Protoss, not so good for Terran and bad for Zerg (at least if Nerual Parasite can't target Massive units gets in).  Do does this sound like a good patch or bad patch for your race?

Interesting stats coming out of MLG Raleigh.

Can you say Balanced?

The most interesting one to me is that ZvP was in Zerg's favor. Given how much EG.Idra complains about how broken this matchup is in Protoss's favor (of course he also says that foreigners don't play Protoss well or right).  Either way I expected to see this in the Protoss favor (maybe around 60 - 40).  Short blog today - it's the wife's birthday so I'm a busy bee.  Peace!

LAN! Me and my work chums (and other community floaters) are going to be having a Starcraft 2 LAN in October.  Just a fun thing - not a competetion or anything.  We'll probably play customs most of the day - maybe play some public matches also.  Looking forward to it.  It's nice to be able to go punch the guy in the nose who just cannon rushed you :)

 Timing Attacks

Rough night in SC last night.  I was playing bad....really really bad.  How bad?  At one point I was getting zerg rushed.  I had walled off but a guy I was playing with pinned my recently spawned Zealot to the wall with a pylon he made lol  So the zerglings marched right into my mineral line.  I attacked the zerglings with my probes - or so I thought....I guess I accidently clicked my Nexus so my probes were sitting there getting eaten by zerglings as I zapped my own Nexus with my probes.....total comedy of errors lol  That was pretty much my entier night - it ended mercifully as my laptop
