My wife has taken her class to D.C. for the week.  The kids are staying at her mom and dad's.  I have the house to myself until Thursday night.  Life is good.  Turns out that I sort of miss them.  Who would have thought.

Decided to take the kids to the park to do a little rock crawling.  My new hobby is remote control rock crawling.  There is a park nearby that I knew had some good rocks to try out.  Of course, I couldn't get the radio out of the kids hands long enough to drive much myself.

That is what my friends keep telling me.  I wish I actually had some.  I noted in my last blog that my wife's ac was shot on her car.  Fast forward a few weeks and it is no longer a problem.  I have been driving around for over two years without a car payment.  My wife's car was going to be paid off in June.  As of this afternoon, I will have two car payments for the next five years.  This sucks a big one.  A few days ago, we bought a Hyundai Vercruz from my assistant principal.  It is an '07 with 15,000 miles on it.  The thing is loaded.  I had never even heard of this thing until about a

The air conditioner on my wife's 2004 Honda CRV went out.  Went to my local neighborhood repairman who is a Honda specialist.  He is good and very reasonable.  He tells me the compressor is locked up.  Sounds expensive.  That was several days ago.  Stoped by today and he tells me he has some bad news.  He called a Honda dealership for some other parts and asked about a kit to fix everything that needs fixing.  They tell him $2200 for the kit.  WTF?  He says if he orders it, he can probably get it for about $1600.  Still, WTF?  That is not including labor.  This vehicle will be paid off in J

He has been on the History Channel and even made a movie and wrote a book.   Recently Popcorn took his own life rather than report to prison. Last fall, Johnny Knoxville of Jackass fame, interviewed Popcorn. I just watched it and it is one of the funniest things I have ever seen. Here is the link. Please check it out.
