Anyone else use GameFly to rent games?  I just started a few months ago. 

Pros: Turn around time is good.  They let you put stuff on your list that doesn't release for months.  Get to keep them as long as you want.  Disc quality is good.

Cons: They will send something further down your list if they don't have your top pick in stock.  That is really kinda annoying when I thought I got Bioshock and then opened it up and found Monster Suburbia or something.  And it's 20 bucks a month to have two out at a time.

I am not sure I can recall what my expectations were for the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Beta.  It was nothing specific that I wanted from the game, just an overall sense of "this is gonna rock!"  And it does.  An XBL friend of mine compared the feeling to the one he got when you played GoldenEye007 for the first time.  "So this is multiplayer."  WoW.  COD4 is the way multiplayer should be.   I have yet to see any real major hitches in the game and the more I explore the weapons the more I love the qualities of this game.

The shotty is okay - you have to be melee-close for it to be a one hit kill - it takes three or four if they guys is dancing around a moderate distance away from you.  The damage it puts out is okay - i would say it similar to the shotty in COD2, def not the takedown power of the GoW shotty.

So I run home at lunch - the hubby dutifully meets me there.  After a scrumptious Bacon/Egg on toast sandwich, the Beta is downloaded.  So I try to log in - ERROR: BETA IS NOW CLOSED....

WTF!?!?!?!

I tried the boards, IGN, Inifinty Ward, COD4 - nothing to help me.

So i texted from my phone to the cod4beta@infinityward.com email address.  Within 5 mins I had a reply......SWEET!  The code IS tag specific, so we migrated my hubby's account over with the little memory card - and BAM dialed up the BETA.

So I run home at lunch - the hubby dutifully meets me there.  After a scrumptious Bacon/Egg on toast sandwich, the Beta is downloaded.  So I try to log in - ERROR: BETA IS NOW CLOSED....

WTF!?!?!?!

So - WOOT - Devon and me with the Golden Tickets FTW!  Let's go get pwn'd like n00bs all over again!
