So far I am liking it, the only issue I have is because I am running the video through my cap card it is only showing up in 720p or at least that is what I am guessing. I picked up BF4 for it and 64 players on the map is pretty freaking cool. I have been messing around with the settings and things and I a pleased with it right now, but I definately see what people are talkign about when trying to join parts and the other little nagging things. Hopefully the update that is coming out this week helps with some of that stuff.
So I had a few freak out moments during the OS install. I had an old upgrade version of windows 7 that I used a couple of times on my old PC that I thought I would be able to use on my new pc (yes the full version is present on the upgrade disc), but when I entered my product key, it did not recognize it. I had 2 different people read it to me and double check my typing and unfortunately it was not going to work..So off to Fry's electronics to purchase a full windows 7 version. CROM DAMN YOU MICROSOFT I WILL HAVE YOUR SOUL ONE DAY!!
So I brought all my PC crap into work, so the IT dude could help me after work and start putting the rig together. I wanted to make sure I had someone with PC building experience with me before I just started doing it on my own.
And let me tell you, it has already come in handy.
So thanks to my HS football stipend that came in and a coupld other things I was able to put in orders for the rest of the pc build last night.
Now I will agree pretty much with anyone that says I probably went WWWAAAAYYYY overboard, but I wanted to make sure I minimized bottle necks for streaming as much as I could without completely going insane AND have a very solid base for future upgrades if I want to go that route.
Sio without further delay here are the rest of the parts:
I am going to start to post some blogs about my most recent time/money waster...
I PLAN TO BUILD MY FIRST PC!!!
Yep that is correct, been using them since BASIC, but have never build one from scratch. I have replaced hdd, PSU, video cards and ram, but never assembeled all the parts and built one up from nothing.
From time to time I come up on some pretty cool and out of the box stuff on the internet (I know not really news). I came across the embeded video and article today while reacding an article on IO9.com.
