Don't know if anyone has heard of parkour before but its some pretty cool stuff. Basically its moving through your environment without a major slow down or loss of speed while navigating obstacles.
Sorry I din't know how to make the above a clickable link.
So last night I finally finish Lord of the Rings: The Third Age for Xbox. While that might not seem like such a big deal - it is. Its rare that I finish a game anymore. It seems like a new game always comes out or I get sucked back into playing Halo 2 again. I can't tell you how many times I've set myself down and said "no more buying new games until you play through your old ones." Yeah right. That never freakin' works.
Well it seems as though the past month or so is one of firsts for my 4 year old son. Earlier in the month we went to Adventureland, an amusement park located in Des Moines, Iowa. He rode his first roller coaster and more importantly LOVED it. Then, as I mentioned in a previous blog, we attended his first baseball game.
What I need is a class on dating. Does anyone else feel like this? I'm 33 years old and have been in 2 serious long term relationships in about 15 years. In the first one the girl was my best friend for approximately 2 years in high school before we started dating after we graduated. That lasted approximately 5 years. The second was someone I knew as a friend for a year and then we dated for a year and then were married for almost 4 years. In between those were a couple of brief relationships, both which started out as friendships.
So last night was awesome. I took my 4 year old to his first baseball game. Omaha, NE has a triple A team, the Omaha Royals, and on certain Friday night home games they have fireworks after the game. Temperature wise it was beautiful yesterday and so I thought it would be a good time to expose him to the nations pasttime.
This just in: "And two insurgents were killed when a roadside bomb they were planting on a highway detonated prematurely in Karma, 25 miles west of Baghdad, police said."
So back from vacation. You see when my daycare provider goes on vacation that means I go on vacation by default. Went back to visit my mom in Dubuque, Iowa. Yes Mike James I was in your neck of the woods. Drove right up I380, hopped hwy30 to hwy13 to hwy151, etc. So it was a good trip, had another relative come in at the same time and so there was always something to do.
Ok, as the title states this is my first blog ever. To be honest though the topic wasnt what I had thought I would write about, but such is life. Going to give you all some information and then ask for a bit of feedback and dont be afraid to be critical if you feel its called for.
