What I really hate it freezing rain, I hate scrapping a 1/2" of ice off my car. But that is the least of my worries because my aunt that lives in Gurnee IL got about 14 inches of snow. At least she has teenage kids that can shovel all that snow. What I really feel sorry for is all those tornados destroying everything in their path.

So here in Chicago we are getting a ton of snow right now and rather than try to clean off my car and try to plow through the snow and drive on the crappy roads, I decided to walk to work. I have a  5 minute commute when I drive but can walk it in like 15-20 minutes.  Its weird that some people think I'm crazy cause I walk and others say it makes sense. My major issue is parking, I have zone parking because I live next to a busy train station and when I walked out to my car I saw that no one else moved there car.

At around 7 am I take my dog on his morning walk and check the weather to find out its 2 degrees outside with a windchill of -9 degrees. We only get half way down the block and my dog turns around looks at me and starts picking up each paw indicating that he is really cold. I pick him up and carry him back home this is where I"m glad I have a puggle that only weighs about 20 pounds. Guess all I I'm getting at is it's cold.

So I work IT and we are getting ready to deploy new pcs to one of our locations and wanted to start it after christmas but had them delivered already. Well one guy that thinks he knows about computers opened one up and tried setting one up for himself, needless to say it didn't go very well. He called me to tell me about errors he was getting, he tired to boot up his old hard drive in the new pc and was surprised it didn't boot work.  I promptly asked him who gave you permission to open the boxes up and set up your own system? He thought it was okay since he does this stuff at home.

The wife and I took a vacation trip to Galena IL to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. It was pretty cool spending some quality time with her, connecting again just the two of us. We went hiking, wine tasting, sightseeing and went old school and played some board games. On the way back home we took a side trip to WI to check out The House on the Rock, a weird tourist attraction that I loved, even the creepy doll house room they have where I swear I saw a few of them moving.
