Here are some other details.  Im not sure about the 20mil glitch though as there seems to be conflicting info however supposedly, you can no longer do it.

Other patch details (what we've gathered so far):
- Ascari glitch dead
- 20mil glitch NO LONGER WORKS.
- Glitched garage and credits not affected.
- No multi-monitor options
- No check mark in dealerships for cars stored in stockyard
- BMW m4 now added in recommended cars
- RB kart cost 10k
- X2014 jr 200k
- Added lambo to vgt project
- "Terms & conditions" notification when booting up the game appears to have been corrected.
- RA functions now available for DS3 and supported wheels
- L1/R1 for menu working on DFGT but not on ds3 if plugged in together
- L1/R1 for menu still not working for T500rs, but neither on DS3 if plugged in together.
- Personal music working properly in races. Volume control added as well.
- Aftermarket wheels still bugged for cars with wider rear tires.
- "Real" slipstream option in addition to "Weak" and "Strong."
- "Drivetrain (Transmission)" Changed to "Transmission" in settings menu
- Mira has been fixed, it now has 183 horsepower when fully tuned
- Online lobby names changed to psn ID
- Blur in replays from normal views gone
- When in a base model car/kart, the driver number no longer goes blank when changing tuning sheet

I think that is correct.  Once we update to 1.02, it looks like it will be impossible to do the glitch anymore because the purchased Merc and/or BMW M4 cars will not be recognized at all in 1.0.

I only bought 100 or so cars using the glitch and so I have plenty to play for.  I figured that the payouts would be improved at some point, just as they were in GT5 and so I am now in a position where I can enjoy the game with a good base garage from which to build.

Not yet. Expecting a January patch to deliver community based pgrades where I expect gifting will be allowed back in (can gift in GT5)

I would not get too concerned about your enjoyment of the game if you were not able to do the glitch.  PD is making the same kind of changes to the GT6 economy that they made to GT5's economy, largely in the form of increased payouts for career and seasonal races and login bonuses.  I was able to amass a garage totaling more than 1100 cars in GT5 largely via seasonal events and bspec grinding.  Bspec grinding is likely out for me, since I am worried about burning up my 7 year old "fat" PS3 and so the seasonals and login bonuses will have to suffice.
