I know what you meant Mapo, we all did but it seemed like an appropriate time to remind people why we're here.

In all the series I've ran I think I've only won two races, but it's the most fun I've had in Forza and now in GT6 too!

Just curious...are people having fun running series events? I only ask because it's generally all I do. I actually prefer them to just running around for short sprints at multiple tracks in a short time. I find that it actually hurts my driving because I don't really learn the track. Mind you, I don't use the driving line, ever. In my mind, knowing the track is critical. Add to that the fact that the best "racing line" is just the start of learning the track. I also like to learn alternate lines for when I get in traffic. Anyway, I could go on but I mean no offense. I just prefer to work towards a set objective and practice. It can get boring running the same track but that's why I like to practice with a couple people on, or close to, my pace.

I have more fun running in a series than just a pick up room. I just like all the prep that's involved with the car and how far I can push it. :)

Kurupt, maybe you should add a GT tag or a mention in the OP? Sounds like fun but I don't have the PS.

Also, and this is apparently the wrong place for this but here it is anyway, Enzo and Roush run a Friday night no assists on the 360/Fm4. Everything is shut off but I do believe view is still adaptable.

Just a mention. Sounds like you guys are doing well.

Are they still doing the F4?. The last time I looked they were doing an F5 night and they had been doing as a public lobby too as was their F4 nights. That was one of the reasons I quit joining them on Fridays, that and they are just to damn fast LOL That was a while ago though.

Thanks for the info old school good to hear someone is doing it on the xbox still :)

still working out the bugs and a time slot, once I figure something out that doesn't conflict with others I'll get it going.   What I think iam leaning to ATM is running an open room using one of the current series car/track combos and practising for the upcoming races. 2 birds with one stone, my current nightly availability is wed-fri  preferably after 9pm mt

Hey Kurupt, I'm usually available most weeknights after 9pm PST, I'm definitely interested.

I enjoy running Series events, but they mostly don't really agree with the times I'm online so I can usually only run 1 or 2 in any given week, usually the ones that start after 20:30 GMT.

I find the career mode more than a little boring though, especially in GT6 as the AI aren't very intelligent at all. I'd rather race with "real people" in the times that I'm online and no events are running, even if it's just practicing for other series or helping people test tunes etc., and there's not even any leaderboards in GT6 to keep me occupied, but I guess I can't have my cake and eat it...

Perhaps in a week or two we'll be overloaded with cake when the online features update appears. It's called 'clubs' so that's an indication of what could be some really cool features...

I don't even own a PS3 and I've had to change my shorts and take a cold shower after reading all these posts.  Kwl Enzo had a Fri nite thing for a while with FM4 and I jumped in when my schedule allowed it.  The one good thing about my two major surgeries (aside from being alive) in 2011, was while I was laid up I was free on those evenings to participate.  I still turn off the assists and the brake line along with the cockpit and the map.  It is just so much more challenging, and fun when there are consequences to your driving on sim.  I am extremely jealous of all you rich guys.  crying

Yeah, but in doing so you got faster Jimmee.

They may have shifted over, be aware I'll be doing a ( shameless plug) Sat. night thing moving forward.

Yeah they did help me out with tunes too. They do run a tight lobby and guys that drive like they are in a public lobby get kicked right away.

Sorry but its going to be awhile before I get back to racing. Thanks for the heads-up though.

They were/are fast.  But every once in a while I would win/place/show.  As long as you are clean and try to race fair they were mucho fun to run with.

I was just invited into a legue of other real world spec Miata racers called "PURE". They have a structure that is exactly like NASA/SCCA and many other series...

it's something we could easily replicate... Check it out here; http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/%E2%89%A3pure-flyin-miata-super-cu...
