got one.......but somewhere in the "discalimer" that I accepted it said that I couldnt party chat with people that wasnt in the beta..only people that had the new dashboard...BUT I could invite others for the Beta.....maybe I missread that
Ok...redeemed my code and for the last day or two Ive had a Tile on my Dashboard that said "regestration" and everytime I clicked on it congratulated me and it advised me that it would take a couple days for confirmation...Now my Tile is gone......Do I need to go elsewere now to look at it???...My Dashboard doesnt look any different but it does seem more responsive..And Ideas??
I got the message also, entered the code and went to the forums. MS really needs to work on their instructions as there was a complete lack of any that I could find. I just happened to notice when looking under games and apps that there was an icon out to the side that said registration app. Clicked on it and had to accept a few terms. Popped up a screen that said thanks and that my registration would be processed some time over the next few days.
So I guess now its a waiting game to see if I get the early access update or not. Really though they have some piss poor instructions, the e-mail sends you to the main forum and then you have to try and figure out where to go from there.
I realized last night that I am already using the Dashboard...it is very minimal that you wont notice at first...to see if you are running the Dashboard..a your Home screen you will see a battery icon in the bottom left part of the screen....this indaaicates your ontroler battery
Katpeeler I believe that is from a previous update. The new March update focuses on friendlist and party chat. Now when you join a party the voice is autmatically enabled. Also you can view who you have previously played games with.

Shit......Ive done something wrong....Like I was saying it..after I put the code I got a message of thanks we will get back with you....and I had a regestration tile on my homepage.....after a couple days it went away..and when I have a "try the new dashboard" tile...when I click on it it says Congratualtions, you have been selected blah blah blah...check your messages...I check my messages and I have the same code...
Do I need to enter it again???...My party chat is still the same....meaning I have to turn on party chat when I enter a party

Update or not, Forza 5 is ready for online multiplayer action. I got the code but am not bothering with it.
My main concerns with the game and my TX wheel have been resolved. Credits are plentiful, thanks to Forza Rewards and the increased credit payouts for leveling up for us VIPs. The multiplayer works fine. The TX wheel/controller conflict has been patched, and the TX wheel is now shipping with up to date firmware.
IMO, the only significant barrier to entry remains cost. You are looking at about $1000 to get set up with the Xbox One, Forza 5 and the TX wheel and pedal set.

And to be perfectly honest, with my initial disappointment I kind of thought to myself I may never purchase another Forza again (and still might not) with Turn10's direction of "less focus" on SIM aspects.
BUT they have done a few things that really surprised Parcells (in a good way) that makes me think there may be hope afterall.
1) First and foremost you can fix aero in the pits now - finally!
2) Turn10 recently sent out a FREE DLC TRACK! Are you kidding me after all the nickel and diming, good on you. My guess is this is the last "I'm sorry" from Turn10 for the backlash they took upon release.

What the game lacks in tracks, for example, it more than makes up for in track selection, which is sublime. Yes, we do not have Sunset and Camino, two of my favorite tracks from Forza 3 and 4, but we do have Spa and Bathurst in their place, which we all agree are outstanding tracks that cater to a vast sim racing audience.
Okay I noticed tonight I got the update. Almost didn't notice it at first then I realized that on the left side of the home screen it said somethign about number of friends broadcasting. So I took a look and sure enough I have the update. Only got to spend a few minutes online so didn't get to try and setup a party with anyone. Will try later this week.
Yes I finaly got the Update....Now on your Gamertag Tile you have a rolling ticker of "friends online, favorites online and friends broadcasting..Once you click on the Friends tab you have a little more organzation (all in a vertical instead of stacked horizontal)..looks pretty smooth....also hitting A button on a friends name opens up and give you a drop down menu...the "Send" button drops down options to "invite to game and party", "party invite", "game Invite" Some options were greyed out on the Friend I chose..."join" was the key one..seems that you can join a game a lot easyier than before...........Ill try to mess around more tomorroo.....see if the speach commands are any better

Same thing happened to me..Then I was having issues on Live...I reset my Router/Modem...worked like a charm
