I also just transitioned from Xbox to PS4 (even though I had a dust collecting PS3) so I don't really have many friends on Playstation Network yet. I'm signed up on the 2o2p community and as soon as Bungie allows specific console clan functions again, I'll be joining the Playstation clan.

I've actually taken 9/9-9/11 off work so anyone who wants to play a ton the first few days should hit me up. I'll have a headset & looking for some new buddies with whom I can play Destiny (and eventually Halo).

I was going to get it for the PS4, but after having played the beta on both systems I decided to switch to the X1.
I have a PS4 Ghost Edition preordered if anybody is interested just shoot me a msg, otherwise I'll just cancel it.
I'm an Xbox guy and think you are wise to do so but may I ask why? It appears that many Xbox people are going to the PS. While I understand the appeal of the exclusive materials (timed) it wouldn't be enough to get me to change.
1. I have more friends on Xbox and as finicky as the party system is on the X1 I personally feel it still works better than the PS4.
2. Along with the party system, I have been unable to find a decent mono headset that works well with just voice chat for the ps4 where as the headset that came with the X1 works perfect for me.
3. The controller. I don't like the touchpad and the xbox controller just feels more comfortable to me.
That being said, I still use my ps4, but after several months of having it I mainly use it for streaming purposes such as Vudu and crunchyroll and the occasional single player exclusive like Infamous: Second son. So it is a preference issue only. Still with the Ghost Edition being sold out I figured I would at least offer it up before just outright canceling it and letting some Timmie get it. :P
For those who are currently 360 players and haven't pre-ordered the disc version yet -- the free XBOX ONE upgrade works!! I got on first thing this morning and purchased the digital 360 version and expansion pack, then went to the XBOX ONE and the purchase price was $0 for game and pack! Downloading 360 and XBOX ONE versions now. The upgrade deal will be available until 1/15/15. Since I have friends that will be playing on both consoles, this made sense to me -- get both versions for the price of one. For those who will be using the 360 but possibly getting an XBOX ONE, this is also a good approach. Note that this upgrade is available only thru the digital versions.
That would be nice, but methinks this is a marketing decision by M$ to nudge the undecided 360 owners to get an XBONE. Buy for the 360 now and get it free for your brand new XBONE a few days, weeks, etc. down the road. Wonder if they will dangle other free upgrade offers out there?

It works the same on playstation from my understanding so it's more of a bungie/activision thing.
Bummer, when I got my Destiny disk today, I was expecting to see all my guns and armore that I had worked for so hard during the BETA test, but, NO! Got to start all over again .
