You guys are too kind! I love playing with my band of brothers. SOOOO nice to play with gamers my own age. Love Destiny, am a COD fan. Freaking out a little too much over the thought of playing Halo 2 again. I had mad super bounce skills back in the day. Yes I was the noob you all hated ascention who grabed the sniper rifle and super bounced to the top. Sorry...it still makes me smile. Mostly because it was one of the only super bounces I really had nailed down. Also loved the noob combo...plasma pistol, battle rifle. See, told you...way too excited.
Hey, I really could use some help finishing this VOG run. If I understand, I need to finish up today or it will reset. I'm currently at the part where people have to go through the time space travel to mars(?) while other folks hang back to keep it open. The guys I was playing with said it was about halfway. Anybody want to help me out tonight about 9pm? This is my first time through so somebody with experience would be great. Not sure if it makes a difference but I was not the Fireteam leader when I got to this halfway point. I don't want to start over from the beginning.

Did you guys finish last night? I was zero help with the shield.
Would be awesome if a shield/teleport expert for Atheon could give a small tutorial. That seems to be the largest learning curve in the whole raid. If you have someone that knows how to use it well, the last fight is easy. If you dont, it is extremely painful. Everything else in the raid is relatively simple compared to the teleport rooms on the final boss. I hear it is alot like the Sword of Crota, but honestly I rarely use that either as I prefer to shoot stuff.
My internet connection went haywire and I couldn't get back on, don't know if they finished. I picked up the relic a few times but panicked when it started going black. A tutorial would help I think.

I dunno, but it should. I for one love raiding and am lucky to have people from here to play with. Not everyone can raid, and it is silly to cap those players at lower levels than those that can. Certainly shouldnt make it easily attainable, but not having any access to it at all is silly. Maybe Xur could sell a raid-quality non-exotic armor each week. Or have it drop randomly in Nightfalls once a week.

We were tasking the Relic carrier with killing the minions in the teleport at the bottom of the stairs, while having TWO Oracle slayers. We really needed to have one person tasked with killing the minions (Add Slayer) the person with the relic cleansing as needed (Relic Carrier), while the third person focuses on the oracles (Oracle Slayer). Having the Relic Carrier do two tasks was too much for one person (Except Riggs and Double because they are badasses).
That teleport part of the final boss was really giving us too much trouble and we never ended up finishing the Raid last night. :-(

What can be easier than this is for the oracle killers to nade/rocket the ads when they first get in before killing the first oracle. Clean up for the shield bearer who should be able to finish off the wounded ads in time to get back to the Oracle killers and cleanse them as they start moving forward.
Shield duties aren't a problem when people don't run away from it. As long as everyone gets moving quickly there is plenty of time to get all the oracles.
My best shield tips are, keep your group together, keep them moving up and watch your gauges for your cleanse. Also, minotaur first.

The first Oracle appears right where you spawn. The relic bearer needs to go kill the enemies with the help of one or two of the oracle killers. This more important for the Green/Venus side than the Mars side. The cleanse doesn't charge until basically you are near not being able to see. Do not shoot at the minions on the Mars/Red side until the Relic bearer has done a slam or two. The Hobs will put up their shields and the relic bearer will have a harder time killing them.

Oh wow -- super bounce brings back memories. I used to grab rockets on Foundation and bounce up to the overhead beams (?) and blast away.

I generally just shoot shit & let Bubba handle grabbing the relic & any actual strategy...
