Destiny after Halo
I have a feeling it is going to reduce playtime quite a bit. I am still interested in doing pve activities (Raids, Nightfalls, Weeklys, etc). I have a 30 titan and 26 soon to be 27 hunter.
Most of my pvp will probably be in Halo, but I still want to play Destiny some too. Is anyone else still plannimg on playing? what are yall's plans?
Halo for awhile. I might do some customs, campaign and forging.
My favorite parts of Halo are campaign co-op and Custom multiplayer. Unfortunately both those activities are not supported by dedicated servers. End result of that will be co-op will kill itself (as before) with stuttering caused by constant Lag issues. Custom multiplayer will look good but the game play will be plagued by 360 era connection issues unlike anything we've ever dealt with on the XB1.
XB1 Halo will have to regenerate my love of Halo and I'm thinking the odds are poor.
Destiny has new content in December. I expect it will be well populated by Halo players.
So, custom and coop will be like the 360, and normal mp will be dedicated servers? Honestly, Im ok with that. I know its probably heresay around here, but I much prefer stock MP over customs (probably because I have a chance in matchmaking, but the players from here that I have played in customs always curbstomp me!)
Im looking forward to Destinyexpansion. I hope the playerbase survives.
On my phne, not fixing typos.
As much as I love me some Halo, I don't see MCC cutting into my Destiny time very much.
I don't actually expect to do much in MCC besides customs once a week, maybe run through a campaign or two; I still have PLENTY left to do in Destiny.
I have already committed to going thru all campaigns LASO with Lou and have a bunch of friends ready to go customs in MCC, but I am sure I will have time for some Destiny PvE. I still haven't done the raid, currently a 29 Titan and leveling up my Hunter, 25 now and moving up.
There is SO much to do in MCC if you are looking for cheevos, but I feel like I'll just casually play through the campagns and spend most of my time in MM.
My interest in Destiny is really starting to wear thin. Since I have so much trouble getting into a Raid, the game just feels like it's treading water at this point since I have no chance of reaching 30 without raid gear. I don't mind farming for stuff, but with no chance to really upgrade I don't see the point.
MCC will certainly cut into my Destiny time. We'll see what the expansion holds and what future updates bring to Destiny.
I tried destinylfg.com the other night, and 5-10 minutes after posting a message there, I was in a raid.
I'm definately still going to be in for Destiny. I'm getting the MCC, but mainly for co-op with my son.
My big issue is that I want to finish up Shadow of Mordor before Dragon Age comes out. I still want to keep up with Destiny (esp when the expansion hits) but I'm afraid of how much DAI is going to suck me in!
So, after the TWO HOUR INSTALL of MCC, I have played the first two missions of H2. Its a fun as I remember. Very good nostalgia factor going on.
But honestly, I'd rather play Destiny. H2 is a great game, but it just feels old to me. I'm still going to finish all of the campaigns, but it will be a small bite at a time over a long period of time. This is coming from probably one of the most hardcore Halo fans ever. (See my obscure Halo forum name and my 6' foot tall master chief Halo 2 launch statue in my office). I like H2, but I like the next gen stuff more. (I am excited as hell for H5 though. Cant wait for that one).
Anyway, Im up for raiding or pvp any night in Destiny. I hope others are going to stay also.
Destiny feels old to me after playing the same areas and levels a hundred times in the past two months. Halo I haven't played much since about 2010.
The MCC collection is the only reason I regret getting rid of my Xbone, but oh well.
