Hey folks, Good Games today… Next weekend I am playing Legacy Format at the SCG Open Series in Washington, D.C.
Since the last game was against ParriotHead (Fire vs. Fire) I will leave the format choice for next week up to him… If anybody knows anything about Legacy format here is the Merfolk list I am playing next week:

I love merfolk decks, my favorite tribe. I ususlly go U/W.. Mainly because of "Sygg, River Guide", but I see you're going all blue.
My own opion is "Force of Will" just isn't worth it compred to regular "Counter Spell", esp. if you're mono-blue; same with "Daze".
Anyway, goodluck on your tourney....Represent us !!!!!

Ok, maybe i am authorized to comment but no way am i backing it up, clan standards or no. Good luck on those mermaids dude, they;ll break your haeart.
Some of the deck can win on turn one in Legacy so, the Daze and FoW help allot in those games. Daze is not as good when on the draw and usually gets the axe for better SB stuff. However, I might consider two Counter spell in the SB to replace the two Negates. I dropped a wasteland for the extra island so Counterspell may be better… more versatile… Legacy is a format full of islands so all that islandwalk is very relevant. My other trick is SB out Cursecatcher for Chalice of the Void against decks full of 1 CC cards. If I get Vial, it will come down first anyway so I will not have any other 1CC cards… Note: yesterday the SCG open series tournament in Buffalo NY was won my Merfolk! (Packing 3 Standstill) Thanks for the advice Nite...
