I can't imagine Bungie is going to change a thing for it. Its working pretty much as intended and it depresses the overall number of Strange Coins out there in circulation.

I got my 5th Hawkmoon this weekend from a 3 of coins drop.... 

I pop 7 then go kill the Taken Zeolot's in patrol. Been getting an exotic drop every time. Sucks having to use 7 of them, but getting Year 2 Surous Regime was worth it.

i've for some reason had mild success with the "3 of coins" im on average getting 2 out of every 5 i use. 

although i havent been buying or using any lately because i own a lot of exotics already and i dont think its going to give me anything new, probably mostly doubles 

Same here.  Mostly same armor, same roll.  Just building up my exotic shard supply.

The going rate of success should be about 1 in 5 or 6.  Things average out over the long haul, so not seeing one in ten or fifteen isn't so terrible.  So, BK, how often are you popping these things? If you use one within the cooldown time of using a previous one, your chances go down (pretty sharply?)  I think they say the cooldown time is somewhere around 6 minutes, if that helps.

Not quite.  I've seen some 310 stuff drop at lower light levels, but when you hit 311, everything's 310.  

Running at 295 I got a 305 drop last week, oh wait, that was NF.  My exotic drops from 3 of coins are all 290.
