King's Fall Raid, Fri, Feb 5
Sign up here for the King's Fall raid on Friday, Feb 5 at 9pm Eastern/ 6pm Pacific. No raid experience necessary, but you should be at least 290 light and have a decent, high-impact sniper, like the 1000 Yard Snare for sale at the Vanguard vendor. We usually run for about three hours more or less. Lately we've been running normal mode to see how far we can get. The Warpriest Challenge will be up this week, so we will probably attempt that as well. If you need to change plans, we understand, but post here again as soon as possible so we can find a replacement. If there are already five participants, please consider signing up as an alternate. Stuff happens, even at the last minute

I've got a Tamar D with 300 light and an impact of 22. Is the one for sale better?
Impact on solar 1000 yard stare is 31 right out of the gate so yes, it is much better with much higher impact. The one currently on sale by the Vanguard Quarter Master has a couple of nice perks as well. Recommend you buy it now and do whatever you have to infuse it to get light level up. I was using this one before I got the Black Spindle.
I still use both the vendor 1000 Yard Stare (now at 320 light) and the Black Spindle (around 314 or so) in every raid.

Tenryuu N7, Hammerdrake, DEEP_NNN, OldnAchy, SoulTerror, DoctorDoom71,and myself ran the raid tonight. Thanks to Duke and ver7tigo for being alternates! We had our most successful run to date tonight, running quickly all the way to Oryx, and coming within one shade phase of finishing him off (twice!). Great job, guys! Friday nights running the whole raid front to back cannot be too far in the future.
