Some interest: can't commit to Thursday nights starting at 8pm E, but might be able to join in for an hour or so after 10:30 or 11 Eastern if there's still a group playing.
Day/time definitely can be whenever, was just wanting to throw something out there to test the waters and see if anyone was still interested in this and if we should try to organize it. If folks have a better day/time in mind, lets hear it. It just happened to be Thursday, so hey why not. These don't even have to be highly organized. But figured if we had a night and a time set where if you see people sitting in a private match you know that its probably safe to join in for some fun.
What seemed to work with the Tuesday and Thursday Halo nights, from my experience, was consistency: show up at the same given time each week and a core group of regular players may form. It can be casual, but having a regular "master of ceremonies" seems to ensure it takes off. Also some basic rules. For instance, on Tuesday "over-50" night, Deep was good at gently asking under-50's to leave whenever a mixed age party maxed at 16 and known over-50's were trying to join.
In other words: just do it, and they will come :-)
:) I figure this week is probably bad considering Thursday is a holiday for some of us. I may even have to try to new xbox club LFG feature to see if it could be a possibility for these events.
I've been wondering if the xbox club LFG would help with trying to get a routine group together. But I'm not certain that anyone is really looking at the club yet.

LFG events show when club members check their friend list. First thing to try is the LFG, then reap the rewards if any. The club members are at 93 and it will increase if there is a benefit.
I'd have persued it but I just finished 11 years of it. Hopefully new blood will step in.
FYI, keep the games pretty much default until there is a regular group of participants. Honour rules can cause confusion and disarray which chases newcomers away.
Deep, outside of the one time we tested the LFG with you, I don't think I've ever seen another LFG post in there. I know I haven't tried it yet, but I suspect old habits of just messaging people to build fireteams will be hard to break.

Time to break old habits I suppose.
For LFGs to work, you need a fairly large pool of potential players to choose from. I'm afraid the Destiny population on 2o2p by itself can't fully support the LFG concept, which you are seeing. Think about it - look up at the banner at the top of this page - there's an LFG link there. Has anyone reading this ever posted anything in there? I know I did once quite a while ago and <crickets>.
Having said this, I hope the 2o2p club does start to get used for real-time LFG and game scheduling. This forum is fine but there are members who never venture into here.

I'm down for a chance to tea-bag Darkman when ever I can.

I joined Chaos_QC and a bunch of our friends for several private matches. Went quite well. Default game types I think.

Is there a club already set up for this purpose?
The 2old2play community club.
