With nothing much else to do until Age of Triumph releases, you'll find me farming exotic engrams. I'm assuming there will be a LL increase. Just stabbing in the dark but I'm going to throw out my guess of 500 for a new threshold. An even wilder guess would be +100 for each of any revamped raids.
I'm currently at 78 engrams, which is quite a bit short of my efforts before WotM released. I'm pre-supposing exotic engrams will affect LL as previously.
Makes sense. You hit max light impressively fast last go-round. I think I'm gonna take advantage of the lull to play some different games and let my appetite for Destiny recover a bit. Beating my fellow Xboxers over the head with heavy pieces of metal in For Honor has been a lot of fun the last several days, the usual Ubisoft new release issues notwithstanding.
16 weapon engrams and 31 armor engrams and almost 200 strange coins to burn. Spending less and less time running patrols and doing strikes -- same old. Still running HM raid(s) though. Always a challenge and a lot of fun.
Well, DEEP, it seems you can stop grinding for engrams. No LL increase with Age of Triumph.
Today's stream mentioned this and the fact that VoG, Crota, and King's Fall will all have a 390 LL version each with new(ish) gear, ornaments and challenge modes. Each week one of the four raids will be featured in the Director with challenge modes active to get the ornaments.
Also, we get a new record book that is 13 pages long with all kinds of stuff to do. Many of the records are retroactive from when you first started to play, so those items will be completed automatically, but there are new challenges that can only be completed once the book is opened.
Overall, I think this sounds like a fitting end to Destiny before we move on to the new game. I am a little surprised they didn't bump the LL, but I'm glad to see the old raids coming back.
Yup, grinding for exotic engrams will not be a practical exercise going forward. I'm okay with this but the next couple of weeks will be boring as hell.
Plenty of things to do I suppose to check stuff off in the book. I am actually looking forward to the raids -- going back to HM VOG and Crota for example with bad guys actually at a competitive LL should be interesting. The decision though not to bump LL was a little weak though -- pandered to those who hadn't reached 400 yet, even though there were multiple paths to do so in ROI.
Did a little solo work today to boost my Hunter to 398 and Titan to 395. Gonna keep moving them up, hopefully before Mar 28. Also using them to complete the Rise of Iron book. May try to put more hours in, if I can get away with it with my wife! lol
Any interest in resuming Friday night "First come first served" Age of Triumph raids? I'm sticking with the Tuesday private matches as long as there is interest, but would be available for Fridays.

Crota Abyss solo not too difficult for Hunter with Don't Touch Me Gauntlets. Bit tougher for a Titan the hard way. Cheesing it with a Titan pretty easy once you get the jump down (with Mida equipped of course).
Not sure what I am going to be on Friday nights. What I understand is that the raid/challenges will rotate every week from VOG thru ROI which probably means two nights to complete at least at the start.
May be worth just running through the raids without worrying about the new challenges the first time, and then picking off the challenges on future weeks once the strategies have been worked out.
Ran VoG at lvl 30 a few nights ago. Was fun! I used Fatebringer and Super Good Advice, mostly, along with a 400 void Devil's Dawn. Back in the day I usually ran with the Vision of Confluence scout rifle, Icebreaker and the VoG Corrective Measure machine gun. I'm looking forward to having the raid guns useful for the entire game.
Played CE HM with a great crew from halo.bungie.org last night. Sure played a little differently than I remember. The jump to 390 will hopefully be accompanied by some interesting new features.

Sometimes Aksis likes to make it even more challenging....

Achy, I recorded that Friday night. Look familiar? Got the stun and could self-revive, so didn't force a wipe, but still... WTF.
At least you got the stun. Must have got your foot stuck in the gooey part of his back

Well Deep, you can always help me rank up my Hunter and Titan and complete the current book! lol Just what you wanted to do, escort a Noob!
I actually watched this and am looking forward to the new book and working on it (unlike previous books).
Did it look like you cannot revive teammates in the level 390 raid?
The new 390 raids, I'm assuming, are played just like hard mode with no revives.

Solo'd Crota's End Abyss section legit. Lot's of fire. I suppose it'll be a lot harder in 3 weeks. I'm hoping we don't have to resort to tricky jumps.
I'm going to check out the effectiveness of Young Wolf's Howl sword soon.
Not something that I'd like to take on. How come you do stuff like that, but don't like hard mode, DEEP? Makes no sense to me.
