Hunting camp weekend with relatives. Lots of deer meat, beer and poker. Wood stove, outhouse and no running water.
Took another bath in the pools. Only made it to lantern phase once. Couldn’t tell if our problem was a glitch: soapstone on my side was down and chain not moving, but lanterns were only up part way and immune. No lantern alarm sounded. As far as I could tell, people were on their plates when they weren’t busy being dead.

Probably not a glitch - my best guess is that someone's chains didn't get locked. If somebody dies and nobody's on a plate the chains start moving back and they take longer to lock. Not gonna hear that chime w/lanterns vulnerable until all 4 lock.
Tips:
Max your resilience and recovery; use adaptive sword or shotgun plus pulse grenades (titan or warlock), tripmine or vortex grenades for hunter - as soon as bather starts to appear throw one down, a couple of power shots will finish him off before he swings at you.
Celestial Nighthawk for the lanterns if you have a hunter.
Thanks for the explanation and tips, Blam! They make sense. Always comes down to the details, especially in our age bracket. I'll file them for the next rotation and try to make sure my character and everyone else's is properly equipped before we go in.
The Dog days of Destiny 2 may be over. We actually, nearly, almost completed the Pleasure Gardens. Much buff was collected and some dogs were put down. Looking forward to Fri.

It was late in the run, too, so just couldn't quite match the momentum again. But at least we took advantage of an interesting suicide glitch that dropped us into the tunnels, enabling us to bypass the Castellum and open a chest. Not sure how or if this glitch will work on Tuesday.
I've seen you guys do well on the gauntlet, so I'm betting you will knock that one out soon. Then a little bit of polishing for reliability and on to robo-Calus. Not completely sure what the expansion will bring, but here's hoping it only helps you along. The future is glorious!

Best performance yet on the Gauntlet. We had the whole team with orbs for 5 seconds.
