If the racing is anywhere near as good as what me, emcee and goregasm had after everyone left last night, then this could be truly epic. We had a whole 5 lap session where I doubt that there was ever more than 300 ft between the three of us.
Seeing as how I'm signed up for the world championship I need to get some dust blown off my forza disc. I can't think of a better series to do this in , considering I'm running these right now in Spazcar too. Speaking of...where are you Insane? lol :p
I will be on for a bit tonite, between 6-8 west coast time. Have a pinched nerve in my neck/shoulder. Hope to get my mind off it for a while. Get cranky after sitting for too long.
I will be out tonight. New flooring showed up yesterday, so I'll be working on that thru the weekend. Hope to be done soon enough together some practice in for the world championship. I will be back in for next week.
Last nights race was pretty interesting. I was surprised how few cautions/accidents there were... At least until the last lap. I'm looking forward to make some right hand turns next week though . Infineon should be fun!

Thanks...I'll be putting some the footage up as a forza vs VHR mod for rfactor...both games have irocs and the infineon track, while similar in design ..way different in feel and drive. The elevation change is way more pronounced as is the back chicanes in VHR ... will higlhight difference between a gps rendered track like forza is and a laser scanned track like VHR
So far tho between that and practising for my turn in the championship it hasn't been all that bad. I get the *sigh* in my head about how much they messed the physics up on the technical side , but i do get the fun feeling in my gut of hey..it's really a damn good arcade/car sim (read - not racing sim) game. Now that i've had time away from it and have raced real sims, i can actually come back to the game with the mental attitude of enjoying it for what it is..an arcade game..and a pretty good one at that ..faults and all :)
Plus miss racing with ya guys that haven't moved over to rfactor ;)

I even got to use a wheel and it was a more controlled racing experience, just don't have the time or desire to dig into the needed set up, proper mod etc needed. However I do wish the wheel was x-box compatible.
That said, I'd love to get back on a track with Spaz at some point!

We was wondering what was up.. I agree PC Sim racing is NOT ANEASY deal...it takes work and money if you don't already have more then web browsing comp, but it's so rewarding if you do. Wheels are funny and a preference thing , but ya wish more were wireless capable, xbox too. So yes , it not the ease pushing a button or two initially ( afterwards it becomes 4 clicks of a mouse to be online) and being in a group of guys to race with...I agree with that whole heartedly and yup some of ya won't cross over , so atleast I got best of both worlds available to me I guess when it comes to choice of raing..and for that I AM a thankful man..
Spaz, What's the word on Rfactor2? I see that they're in beta, but is there an expected release date for the final release?
I've thought about trying to do some PC racing, but seeing as I've only got a controller to use I'm not quite sure that it would be worth it. I am a big fan of Rfactors developers ISI and they're based in my backyard, up in Ann Arbor. I remember playing SportscarGT back in the day, which was one of their early PC games. That was a sweet game...wish I could find that old CD-ROM
If you're talking about the EA's sports car GT i have a copy of that ...rfactor2 is in public beta but you gotta pay to play sorta thing , it not a "free" beta, more like a membership offered beta. It's a while off from bing done yet & It's also going to be a system hog..you really need to have a new powerful hardware to run it with the eye candy on.. If you have the system for it...it makes forza looks old and dated. But for a console forza looks pretty damn good and in most cases as realistic as possible with the hardware they are having to use.
I personally haven't dipped into rfactor 2, i can't afford it it at the moment...I know it not much , but I haven't even used the 20 dollar 3 month trial of iracing i have, and i think that expired...so to spend 40 bucks on a beta that obviously i'm not going to have time to play is a waste for me.. Until GBR or VHR mod for rfactor go rf2 i won't be bothering with rF2. Too much that can still be done and enjoyed with rF1. Be different if i didn't spend every spare second working on videos and trying to drum up sponsorship for them.
lmao..we all know sex sells...i guess if my attempt at clean wholesome racing recaps doesn't pan out ... i'll have to look into amateur porn That seems to be the market demand in that genre..lol
Sweet thanks emcee...I've been through a few replays myself ..the big events aren't capturing it all , so those will be more of a "quick " recap type vid and where there is a full vid i will reproduce those...eventually ..oy..
