I have that type of luck too Krak. I had a very low stat set of gloves I wanted to upgrade a while back. Went through 4 stacks of glass needles from Xur just trying to get them back to something close to the original stat level. I thought about scrapping them and just picking up a set from the kiosk, but after a while it was just a matter of determination.
Xûr will not be selling Three of Coins for the weekend of 12/30 - 1/1. His Curios may vary on a weekly basis for the foreseeable future, due to a limitation of the size of his Curio Inventory space.
My Xbox Live Gold was set to expire next month (was still hunting for the best possible deal), and got an offer via the Xbox this morning for a year for $40, which was a better price than I could find online. The only gotcha is that they quietly sign you up for a recurring subscription at $60 for future years. Hate when companies do stuff like that, but in this case it only takes a minute to go online to turn automatic renewal off. Pretty happy with how it all turned out!

I've used cdkeys.com for a number of years. The prices are good ($45 for 12-month) and they will email the code to you so you don't have to wait on a card to show up.
I almost never used it. It bugs me to play on a partial screen.
Yeah, it matters to me. I frequently have news or sports on TV snapped while in Destiny.
Snap was a selling point for me when I decided to move to the XB1. Ultimately this won't drive me off the box, but I am disappointed and wondering what the justification is for removing functionality. I wonder if I will be able to decline the update?

Updates cannot be refused. All is not lost maybe. The news is vague about some kind of overlay.

Gamespot article suggests the overlay will be to track game progress. Now THAT will be f%#^ing useless.
Used to be that one had to snap Twitch to broadcast. Now, just start a game, home, Twitch, start broadcast and then back to game...wait I think snap was easier
Sorry Snap's loss may adversely affect folks who made good use of it. I never hooked up the TV portion, so Snap was mostly an annoyance for me: kicking in when I least wanted it.
What I read gave me the impression they were working on replacing it. They needed to remove Snap to improve multitasking and performance. I thought that was funny that they are removing a multitasking tool to improve multitasking....
I want to share something I did in Destiny this weekend. I have a friend who raids with us. His 6 year old plays and has watched us raid. This weekend I got a message asking about running Kings Fall with his boy. Sure why not. I miss KF and the boy will have fun.
For the opening we only had 5 people. Our young guardian defended the middle room by himself, while the rest of us ran the relics. We successfully opened the gateway and made our way across the ships with only a couple of deaths.
Our 6th joins us and we managed the totems with no deaths. Things are going well. We down the Warpriest and Golgorth and clear the piston wall. Next up, Daughters. We enter the room and our young guardian is the first to be torn. Dad explains what to do and our young guardian runs the relic. We down the daughters first try. At Oryx he joins me on ogre duty and a few rounds later Oryx floats off into space.
At the end of our evening, we ran King’s Fall with no wipes and completed Wrath of the Machine with our young guardian stunning Aksis twice.
Our young guardian was off mic but we could hear him in the background telling his dad about all the loot he got. He was quite happy, his dad was proud, and our fireteam had a great time. What could have been painful, turned out to be enjoyable and I’m happy we did it.
We had a ton of fun with this kid and he was so excited for every piece of loot that dropped - plus we were able to bump up his Light with all of his new gear.
Huge props to his dad for the instructions passed along to his young Guardian. This kid had skills though - it's one thing to watch, but a whole different game when you start doing it for real. He went along and did things like he'd been there and done that...lol
King's Fall is a pretty easy encounter now, with our 400 Light weapons - but he still handled the encounters well and, as Kal mentioned, ran the relic at the Sisters his first time in the room and he was the first one torn.
We then proceeded to wreck WotM in about 1.5 hours with few issues and the occasional stoppage of play as his dad took time to explain how the encounters worked. I was unsure we'd finish Aksis, but he pulled off two stuns during our successful run, so I was most impressed. Six years old and he's playing better than us Destiny vets! lol
I was glad we gave this kid and his dad this chance. Also, good call by the dad keep him off mic and party chat - we don't want him learning any new "phrases" just yet!
He probably outplayed you all LOL! Glad the experience was positive. Playing with children (probably older) can be problematic. I actually remember learning some new words playing against pre-teens in HALO back in the day. As for Destiny I do miss the good old days of hilarity.

Considering it was his first time in the encounters, I would say this is a fair statement. I know I didn't play so well during my first (and the many that followed) raid runs.
I had an extra Armamentarium. I needed a Void version with high Intellect, Discipline plus Heavy ammo. 1 roll with glass needles and I got it!
Your luck is a lot better than mine. I've used a lot of glass needles, and have yet to get anything worthwhile.

Once again, Xur left his stock of 3 of Coins in a Nine warehouse somewhere and forgot to bring them to the Reef.
Makes those 10 3oC drops from the nightfall seem less like a kick in the arse now.
Per Bungie
Hmm, Three of Coins are back but Glass Needles are gone.
That should make for some interesting posts in the Bungie forums.
This weeks NF seems quite miserable.

Food for thought...
Mr. Lucky boots. :)
Nice! Mine ends next weekend, I doubt I will get that lucky though, but maybe there is some hope :).
Check places like NewEgg.com and TigerDirect.com, Amazon for XBL. That's what I usually do and get pretty good prices.
Snap is being removed from XB1.
Will it matter to you?
I almost never used it. It bugs me to play on a partial screen.
I wasn't even able to find snap the last time I looked. No big loss.

From in the game just double tap the home key then select Twich from the menu. Once you start your broadcast unsnap it.

I don't use it, so it doesn't matter to me.

Is NF this week really Matchmade? I think that's what it says on bnet.
