NOT A PRODUCTION CAR or record. Had a huge argument about this on opposite lock. They have only delivered 11 cars and they need to deliver 30 to be classed as a production car, they only beat the SS by less that 1mph on one run. The speed the SS achieved was an AVERAGE of two runs.

But then you may say the Top Fuel Dragster cars are not Road legal so my question is this What is the fastest Road Legal car in the world? I don't know and no one has a response on opposite lock. They only response I got was possibly something from bonoville
No doubt in my mind THAT car will hands down beat the Bugatti...Bugatti doesn't have the gonads to go head to head...and I don't think it's worth building a place to run it to prove it. VW won't let 'em on THEIR track.
As for production, at the prices those things command, I don't consider either one of them production, and couldn't care less about that distinction. IF you can order one and someone else builds it, and it's road legal, that's good enough for me.
Yeah. That kongiseggegg one may be the first in the 300mph team. Not that mad cos at least it has a lot of British in it ;) (Lotus) like a modern day Cobra
Yeah, truthfully there's only a superficial resemblance to the Lotus. Would love to see one side by side with a Lotus. Everyone knows the first place you'd attempt to improve a Lotus is in the HP department.
Awesome article. Truly a high tech on the edge achievement in the making.
The two cars are so completely different. One's simply a lightweight brute, no finesse, in your face hang on for dear life, and the other's totally the opposite, with so many new innovations.
Drag race, my moneys still on the Hennessy, top speed I think it will lose, and everyone knows Hennessy's and corners are a no no...
Interestingly, the power to weight ratio's, are almost exact. The Hennessy being a a tad lighter overall, but again, handling isn't listed in the handbook.
EDIT: The GPS trackside thing if it works, is the shit!!!
I think the Venom is awesome. It uses half the cylinders and 2 of the 4 turbos of the Bugatti. It's a model T in comparison and yet they wont let it run against what they would think a lesser car!The Konigsumsum has the ability to take both IMO. Maybe this will start a war and someone will hit 300mph in the standing mile. Too bad McLaren wont remove the 217mph limit on the P1,be interesting to see what it could do.
I think that's going to take a while. Funny cars are 7-8,000 bhp. How do you get that kind of power down without the gigantic slicks?
Yeah but they are doing that in only 1320 feet, while a mile is 5280 ft. Modified production cars are running 280mph in the standing mile so if someone can see a profit margin in it for them it will happen.
Will post the video for the car later. Cannot do it on my phone. Anyway been doing a bit more research and the fastest ever accelerating car (road legal or not) goes 0 ' 60 in 0.2 seconds. 0-100 came up in 0.3 and 1/4 mile in 3.58 seconds. http://www.draglist.com/stories/SOD%20Mar%202002/SOD-030702.htm
Jealous? You mad bro? Murica!

BTW...http://www.2old2play.com/blogs/oldschool-2o4f Why no one read MY stuff? Don't you see MY picture at the top of the page?
As usual, I beat oldmeltyT to it, again!
EDIT: BTW, all of their "production" is sold...they just have to build the rest now...
I did a quick search and nothing popped up. But I'm still stuck back in the last century many times.
LOL, I don't think thread searches will reflect the "blogosphere" up top, but I might be mistaken.
In any case, you guys should check out the "crap" at the top of the page once in a while, some of it's interesting.
Even Jones' stuff...
This thread seems to be trending, what the hells going on in here? Oh just church arguing with himself...excellent! carry on..
LOL, it was all three of Church's personalities logging into to commit.
I think that top's Parcells, no?
The thing IS a beast. The Knoggseggwinkwink looks to be a real contender, I agree...
Well this thing started off as a Lotus, then they pretty much replaced everything :)

Koenigsegg is going to bring the title back to Europe. I bet, anyway.

Every website is touting it as the fastest production car out now. Even websites, which I assume offer less bias, from your side of the pond.
