Unless I'm mistaken... it's not that they want to turn off game play dialogue.... the problem is that they WANT to hear the dialogue but can't. The reason is because co-op friends are chatting it up at the wrong times and stepping on in game dialogue, which is quite entertaining and fun for those that want to listen to the story develop.
Yes. Altho I can’t blame my friend’s poorly timed dick jokes for everything. I frequently find myself in the middle of a firefight, assigning a skill point or inspecting a potentially lootable weapon while some really juicy dialogue starts playing. I can’t figure out what I'm supposed to do, shoot shit, call out enemy locations, drink beer, AND read all at the same time. Maybe it’s me. I just can’t remember really having this issue before. It’s not a big deal tho. Just means I’ll have to play it again to hear what I miss.

I thought the developer’s great sense of humor really helped to set the tone and style of the first game, and it was a big part of what made the first one fun. They’ve really carried that humor into BL2. It’s clearly evident in the menu screen, the dialogue, the characters, the environments. It shines in the descriptions for weapons, character skills, and bad ass challenges. It touches almost every element of the game. It makes it almost impossible to keep from smiling while playing. I find that quite impressive. And damn fun.
I'm havin the proglem with gameplay dialogue as well, it's not loud enough. It get drouned out by pretty much everything including other human players talking over it. When i say dialogue i'm talking about he animation that pops out beside the mini-map, often times it guides you to the next part of the mission. Or you pick up audio logs and it plays them or 'ange' that cute chick that talks to you and guides the main story, i miss 80% of that shit because i can't hear it over the game or people i'm playing with.
I spent saturday going back over areas i'd discovered and doing the map based challenges for bad-ass points. They were something fun and different. Most maps have hidden vault symbols, some boss based challenge, some type of collection type task and some have an action oriented task like figure out how to get to the top of something. They're fun distractions, almost a game within the game.
I wish the bank vault were bigger. Doesnt' make sense to me that I can carry 27 items in my backpack but only 13 in my vault. Shouldn't the vault be able to store like 100 things ?! It's a bank vault !

I believe there are 5 hidden Vault Symbols in Sanctuary( Im pretty sure I read that somewhere) I spent about 20 minutes looking for them yesterday but only managed to find one. Im sure some of you have had better luck finding them. Has anyone here found them all?
Also, what kind of things are you storing in your bank vault? Is it just guns you prefer not to get rid of or Mods or what? Im only a level 13 so I really havent found anything thats worth storing. Maybe I'll throw my Orange gun in there when It isnt worth carrying anymore.

Do you get a reward for finding all 5 vault symols?

One is in front of Moxxie's main door to the left as you leave the bar.
One is behind the green dumpster that's outside of Marcus' place.
One is behind the tire pile under the stairs in Scooters.
One you have to jump off the balcony in the crimson raider's hq onto that roof, get to the roof infront of it by jumping on the thing that looks like a chimney, then jump across the street to the blue roof, it's up in that rounded corner.
The last one you jump from that bench infront of the green dumpster to the awning just above it. From there to the roof opposite the awning. Go up the mattress and onto the higher roof, follow it around and drop onto that balcony, it'll be on the door.
I haven't found crap to put in my bank. I've got a class mod and relic I switch to when I wanna make my assassin from sniping to melee, but weapon wise if I'm not carrying it it's probably crap.
Thoughtlock for the siren sucks HARD. It's possibly the worst skill in the game. If you're a solo siren it's maybe not bad. But when you're in a group, all it does is make that monster invincible to the rest of the team since it turns it temporarily friendly. People always wanna use their powers on the big enemies, but there's no guarantee it'll do anything. Most of the time they just stand there and do nothing, and your team can't hurt them. The minor damage he might do isn't nearly as much as you could do if you just normally phaselock them. So people stop paying attention to it for a second and fight other stuff, then someone's down because it suddenly turns hostile again and attacks them.
There are hidden vault symbols in almost every map, the number varies, some have as few as 1 and some have as many as 5, like sanctuary has 5. There isn't a reward for finding them but it is a map based badass challenge. If youlook at your badass challenges, each map has 3-5 optional things to try and do in order to ear badass rank and a coin to turn into a spec upgrade. I usually return to maps after doing the initial game missions there to find and do the badass challenges. I have found all the vault symbols on all but two of the maps I have unlocked, I won't name the two due to spoilers but Sanctuary isn't one of them i have found them all there.
I store a mix of everything in my vault. I"ve got a couple class mods in there that are good for cooping but i won't use them solo. I've got some guns I think are interesting but that I don't use which then i ask myself why am i hording this stuff lol... I have a few relics as well and some shield generators. Mostly I'm storing some stuff I can use for badass challenges but the gear isn't good enough for me to roam around with, i'll just put it on to specifically work on a challenege.
Your'r right about rocket launches, those things were worthless in B1 but work pretty well in B2. Also shotguns can be bad ass in B2, i never bothered with them before but now I always have one mapped to the D pad if i need to do massive damage. I have one now that does 165 damage x 17 with extra explosive bonus damage, it tears shit UP !

I miss a few things from the original but it is indeed an awesome much
improved game, rocket launchers even work without being Brick w/upgrades!
