Guys I have to apologize for my MIA, lately I have put my house up for sale and when it rains it pours, I have gotten 3 other listings that came up as well some buys so I've been running like a chicken with out a head the past couple of weeks. On a good note i have picked up a 46" lcd for $399.00 so when i come back i'll be able to see all you fuckers cutting into my corners ( wait i think that's my move ) in any case the new house will have a dedicated driving rig and chair and TV so That means that the wheel is coming back out and there is talk of a fanatec (maybe) so its on when I get in to my new house!!!!!!!
I will host next time if you send me the race peramiters... I couldnt even connect to race at all
Nothing personal Mavic but Parcells just wants to make sure this idea isn't going to make things worse and I only bring it up because you did have trouble getting into the room. My concern is will the rest of us be able to join you if you had issues joining us? Have you had issues in the past and/or hosted a large room before without connection issues?...standard types of questions.
I would offer to host (never have issues or RARELY) but honestly I never know if I'll be racing each week until about 9:30 at night depending on how tired I am after a long ass day. If you want to consider me for an emergency back-up Kochino let me know so you and I can get together so I can save the room settings if you want me to host on a whim.
Despite the serious lag last night, Parcells was much surprised how awesome a race it was, I battled just about everyone at one point or another with lots of side by side racing...awesome!

Yeah.... Sorry about the caution. I thought I had sent you into a spin after getting into emezmer going into Stowe basically 3 wide. You did "give" plenty of room considering you were all 4 wheels off the track to the outside. I did think it was funny you didn't say anything. Thought there might have been another mike issue or something, and I was sure you had ended up facing in the wrong direction. Glad to know you weren't put out too badly.

I'd like to know the race parameters for the purpose of practice. Are we handicapped only with HP? How much is the handicap for the different levels? Does it change from week to week?
As for the incompatible NAT issues, my experience is that it's random or temporary or both. My buddy and I race Forza3 regularly. Every so often, it won't let us connect to each other. We can both connect to others, but it won't let us be in the same lobby. We've checked router NAT settings, tested up/down speed and ping, and we're able to connect for zombie slaying. When we come back 24 hours later, Forza works fine. (I have to forward ports manually on my router, his side works with default settings.)
I'm not offering to host because I'm still asking dumb questions about how you do things. I've got to find a better solution for the voice comm, too. The wired headset plugged into the Fanatec isn't cutting it.
Just curious about the happenings last night. After running a couple of practices to determine the seed time, the room was reset just before race time . I was not able to get back in, did anyone else have this issue?
I have hosted on forza with success, I do have a strong internet connection so that is rarely an issue. The only time I have issues with connecting is if the host has a weak connection or if someone in the room has a closed NAT. Of course I was only offering as Kochino has been having problems consistantly and Im trying to help, if in practice my connection was deemed not worty I would give up the host so no issue there. I was able to connect to cotter and others from the clan so I know my connection was not the issue.
Kochino: I'd be happy to help host. My issue is mainly time....sometimes I don't get home until just before or right at race time. Last night I was fighting a headache and just didn't feel like stepping up to host. I think you need to have 2-3 others as back-up as hosts.

Thanks Surf...Had a Great Time...First Time I could last the whole race with no issues. Handicapping must of been good because I never moved up or down. I was lucky to stay ahead of Surf...I know how good he is!!! ... Have no issue being a back-up...Just need to get with Kochino or someone on details...Might need some Kochino insights though on where each driver is on the handicap scale..
P.S. Got close to Parcells once or twice but found out that we were on different levels when he pulled away from me like I was standing still...WTF???
Crleo, I'm pretty sure that the handicaps are 5% HP for ProAm, 10%HP for Pro, and 15% for whatever the top tier is called. I haven't noticed them change recently, although the Thursday Pro-Am race uses different parameters.

I agree. I like 3rd person Parcells just fine too. Always good for many a laugh. You can teach me a lesson next week, but for this week, I did manage to finish 1st. I'll definitely be moving down to Pro next week
