2nd Shipment of Xbox 360s Arrives!

It looks like the story of Microsoft shipping another 300,000 Xbox 360's in North America is true. Many members of our web site are reporting they have seen and purchased the Xbox 360 from several different department stores. Online sales have also seemed to start again with their insane $1200 bundle offers. Unfortunately, just like the last shipment many stores are already reporting a sell out. Others are simply trying to make good on the thousands of preorders they took and now need to fulfill. So what is left for the people that did not preorder? It looks like another 12 hour wait in line at your local Best Buy on the 18th. So where did most of our members find there 360's at? Most seem to have stumbled upon them on their way to work. Our own King Drewsky got his at a local Target.

I finally secured a 360 at a Super Target in Lake Mary, FL. I stopped by on my way to work and got there right before the store opened, 8 AM. Two other folks were already waiting outside for the store to open. They lined us up at the electronics counter. Three target employees were already waiting (I assume they were employees, they had on red shirts). Then they brought over some cardboard boxes in a shopping cart and started unpacking them. They had 6 systems and all were premiums. I took the last one they brought out, but there is a possibility they had more in the back. Sweet. Now I just have to make it through the work day. Unfortunately, my HDTV is on the fritz so I am going to have to get that fixed as well.

Oddly enough these stores do not seem to be advertising the new stock. It could be that store managers do not want to take the time to manage another line of 50 people when they only have 6 Xbox's to sell. An even more disturbing scenario is that, like in Drewsky's case, employees of the stores are buying up the stock before real customers can. This ofcoarse will only lead to another price hike on Ebay. Time will tell
