Ok, soon relative to expectations - Spring 2007. G.R.A.W II is said to take place in 2014 following the events that occured in the original G.R.A.W.
"Insurgent rebel forces have sent Mexico into a nationwide civil war, which poses a threat to the United States. Scott Mitchell and his fellow Ghosts are called on to neutralize the potential risk to the US and will have to fight on both sides of the border, including in El Paso, Texas, to be successful."
Ubisoft says its next release will include a weather system (wasn't it always sunny or dark in GRAW?), new weapons and a Medic class soldier. They will also include some new military strikes like air strikes from jet fighters. Of course, an improved Artificial Intelligence to allow your strike team to act with less frustration than in GRAW.
Things we'd like to see and hope will make this type of game release:
- A squad of AI that serves more purpose than simply fodder.
- Improved graphics to rival that of Gears of War and Call of Duty 3
- Multiplayer vehicles more like Battle Field and Call of Duty 3
- A structured game ending over the "head shot the boss to win" tactic
- Squad based multiplayer similar to that of Halo 2
G.R.A.W was enjoyable in single player and pretty good in multiplayer although many gamers seemed to have lost interest in the multiplayer faster then we initially though - everyone wants the next Halo type multi-player.
We're sure the community can drum up hundreds of nice "wish list" features for G.R.A.W 2. Hopefully, the development team can bring us a sequel that is above and beyond our expectations.
