It looks like Sony Corp. is just as displeased with the Playstation 3 launch as the Playstation fans.
In a shocking announcement today, Ken Kutaragi has been removed as President of SCEI. He will be replaced by Kaz Kirai who is the current President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America (the American division). This shake up will be effective on December 1, 2006.
Ken Kutargi will continue to be involved in Sony Computer Entertainment in the capacity of Chief Executive Officer but will have more of an oversight power rather than day to day dealings.
Kaz Hirai, in his new roll as President of the the global SCE Group will bring his strong leadership skills and experience to the day to day operations of growing the Playstation 3 business.
