Live Marketplace: Technical Issues

Larry Hryb, director of Xbox Live Programming, has issued a "we're sorry" post for those gamers failing to download media, movies and TV shows from marketplace...

"I just hung up on a conference call on this issue, and I wanted to post an update. As you know, we have been experiencing technical difficulties associated with the extremely high number of downloads from the Video Marketplace service over the past 24 hours."

That's part of a statement issued by Larry Hryb, Xbox Live's MajorNelson, regarding some outages and difficulties gamers have been having with their new video marketplace. Some media has simply failed to download along with other glitches or misleading text.

This problem arises after the launch of their new video service where Xbox 360 owners can download movies and TV shows in HDTV and SDTV for Microsoft Points. The announcement was apparently successful given the number of problems due to high volume and crowds trying to utilize the new service.

If you have been plagued with issues Larry urges you to call 1-800-4MYXBOX.
