You better hope your Xbox 360 is plugged in on the day you buy Madden '07 because it already has known bugs. Oh wait, they're not sure if the fix will be ready by then...
Madden 07 players have begun grumbling about bugs and issues in the initial release of the game. What is the problem? Your NFL players are not fatiguing! Well...they are... you just don't know it because there is a user-interface bug. Other bugs customers have complained about were actual features in the game, but this fatigue issue is real.
EA has acknowledged the issue saying that a patch will be available "soon." That's marketing speak for "oh sh*t." So, is the bug a big deal? It depends on how into football games you happen to be - if you use strategies to win a game, such as putting in players when others are tired or running plays to let your hard workers take a rest, this may just be a problem for you.
The game is in stores now, if you can find it, some stores have them in stock. If you buy it today you may be upset to find no patch download when you initially plug it in. Hopefully within a few days EA will "fix the glitch" and make everyone happy.
You must wonder, though, with all the testing this game must have gone through, do any of the testers or developers watch their players fatigue? Perhaps this is a last minute regression which occured due to other critical bug fixes. Worse case scenario: This is one bug of many that will be found by customers.
Thanks to TANK for the update
