The class action lawsuit goes on even with the strap replacement, because its not proven to work...
Nintendo has already built a webpage to cover the strap replacement and this should help cover them for those filing lawsuits against them, right? After all, they're doing something, voluntarily, about the issue.
The firm doesn't think so - they've yet to prove that the new strap design actually works. Nintendo has stated the following on their strap replacement:
"Nintendo is offering to replace the original version of the wrist straps for the Wii Remote with a newer version. Because Wii consoles shipped starting in early December already utilized the newer version of the strap, you will need to determine which version of the strap you have before ordering a replacement."
Nintendo has also posted their safety instructions, again, for those that don't "grasp" the concept of using the WiiMote here. In any case, Nintendo's Lawyered up, and now its time to watch those legal guys make some money of this little power struggle.
