It was rumored for a bit, but Ubisoft has confirmed that a game based on the Prince of Persia franchise will be coming out for the Nintendo Wii.
This comes after a press release went out last week in Franch with the Ubisoft "release list," which contained a limited set of games (which we brought you last week). In France this release list contained Prince of Persia but was abscent on other press releases.
Mistake, leak, or whatever... it doesn't matter - Ubisoft unofficially has confirmed the title. No release date yet, probably because it wasn't really supposed to be unofficially released, but due to the France PR team its now a little out in the open.
Not a big deal really, its nice to see more Wii titles. Ubisoft probably wants to keep the "when is it being released" hassle and gossip to a minimum. Oh well, time to gossip.
As of now, assume this title is going to ship at some point (2007 probably). Until Ubisoft confirms it 100% officially its just a well established assumption by the consumers.
