It looks like Asustek Computer, one of the world’s largest producers of computer components, will be delivering PlayStation 3 consoles to Sony starting this month.
The news, via Forbes.com, stats that the first consignment is for 4 mln units, noting that monthly shipments will start at 200,000 units, rising to 2 million in October. The question will be whether or not Sony can come up with enough Cell and RSX chips to meet launch goals of 2 million units. Lets hope we don't see another hardware shortage like we did with the Xbox 360. Although I am not holding my breath.
