Apparently, from what Gizmodo is saying, the PS3 controller manual will explain how to replace your PS3 controller battery.
With a screwdriver and a dream, you too, can change the PS3 battery. There are five screws that must be removed, and the battery is exposed.
We're sure 3rd party companies will be selling longer lasting batteries or new replacement products before long. However, it is clear that all the news about PS3 batteries being non-replaceable was all a big overblown topic. How "unusual" for the news to blow something out of proportion.
