Xbox 360 Update Released for Dashboard

That's right people. Boot up your Xbox 360 and check out the new update available for the dashboard. We are told that it will supposedly "Improved syncing of games played to Web and in console." Does this mean a better online experience? I just hope that they will finally allow me to download something in the background while I watch my Windows Media Center. Other updates include better saved game management, probably because people were reporting tons of lost game saves, as well as better keyboard support. Nice work MS! In other news, it was said that following this release we could expect to see the patch for COD: 2 the following day. So far it looks like the news of the 360 dash update came on just the day they promised so we may be in for yet another treat tomorrow. While it's unknown exactly what is to be expected in the COD:2 patch, it is believed that it will at least fix the horrible LAG issues. I for one hope they add a party system so I can finally play with my friends.

UPDATE: After spending a good 10 minutes with the patch, 2old2play can confirm that there is NOT a fix for the background download. If you move away from the download screen, it will STILL cancel your download. In fact, we have a hard time seeing any noticeable changes to the dash at all. We think the update is mostly internal and deals with small bug patches then any large front end changes. Oh well, once again MS ignore the obvious. If you have any noticeable changes that you can find, please feel free to post them in the comments section and we will add them to the articles list. Thanks.
