Xbox Live Video Marketplace

Microsoft's Video Marketplace is live and ready to use. Alternative to Video On Demand technology and Tivo?

We're looking through the list of products now. An Episode of CSI (in HD) will run you $3.00, the same cost as non-HD movies like Analyze This and Tequila Sunrise. However, your renting these movies - not buying them. The TV shows are yours to keep.

Going through the list of movies, many of the titles are, currently, fairly old (Star Trek for instance). The marketplace lets you organize by genre, network (abc, nbc, comedy central, adult swim, etc.) and allows you to filter through new arrivals and such.

Is it cool? Well, twenty episodes of Robot Chicken is desirable, but 160 ($2.00) Microsoft points for a standard definition 11 minute show is a bit pricey when people can find much of this on youtube or google (nobody said its good quality or legal to do so).

Some of the prices are questionable but... commercial free TV and Movies you can watch at your own convenience and no additional monthly fees? Might be worth the cash.

You a 360 owner? Power on your system and check it out.
